  • In this giant adventure of Buffalo NY we explore the forgotten story that made Buffalo NY a historic icon. Buffalo NY is the second largest city in New York State and one of the most prosperous throughout America, one time hosting the Pan-American Exposition or better known as the 1901 World's Fair. On this trip, we explore Buffalo NY's forgotten realm of Silo City. Grain Elevators that tower over the the Buffalo River and Lake Erie. We explore Buffalo's City Hall and Downtown, to discover why Buffalo NY became the epicenter in electricity and illumination. Buffalo is a city surrounded by water, and on this trip we take a grand excursion on Lake Erie, wrapping our Upstate NY adventure in Buffalo NY's Canalside, what became the final piece to the Erie Canal. So join me on this giant adventure, to tour the mighty Buffalo and it's forgotten story.

This is an absolutely awesome video. As a transplanted Buffalonian, I always try and tell people i meet there is more to Buffalo than just Wings and Sports. I love how you focused on the City itself, the great architecture, and the proud history. You have done Buffalo a great service and this Buffalonian proud with this video. Excellent job and thank you!!

Thank you so much. A lot of the places I travel to have their known things but I wanted to show the audience a bit more then what they’re use to without straying to far from the narrative of the other 5 cities in the Erie Trail. I had so much more to add about Buffalo which I will save for a 2nd video.

Who's got the best wings in the city in your opinion? Everyone kept telling me to go to Gabriel's gate like how mind-blowingly the wings were. I am being sincerely honest when I say I thought anchor by was better. no b.s.
Maybe I just got a bad batch at Gabriel's gate?
An acquaintance of mine has lived in Buffalo for much longer than I have and he said the wings at Gabriel's gate used to be a lot better. I'm a Duff's man. Specifically the white and red one in Amherst. Those wings blew my hair back dude they were like 9.99999/10.
Any places you would recommend because I literally love chicken wings lol they are so good. Anyways you got a sub for me brother . Keep up the good work

I have lived elsewhere but there is nothing like our beautiful parks, falls, scenery, scuba diving, rafting,…I could go on. I love the 4 seasons. Autumn is so beautiful. Summers aren’t scalding hot. Winter fun-snowmobiling, skiing, etc. And again the falls. I never get tired of seeing the falls in any season. Loved you video on the falls. Bills fan too.

I live in Key West Florida now ( 6 1/2 years). I miss and love my home town so much. The history, architecture, affordable living, culture, arts, food, etc. Mostly, I miss the people. I have the opportunity to see plenty of them down here due to my work and happenstance and, in typical WNY fashion, I connect instantly with friends I didn't know I had. It just so happens I drive that thing around Buffalo pretty much daily during the warm months- May-October! If you visit you have to take one of our history tours. As much as the host of this video tells us about this great city, he barely scratches the surface. Come aboard and meet your tour guide, Officer O’Connor who will tell you SO much about the beginning of our city, its history, the architecture, the good, the bad an the ugly. And as informative as it may be- you’ll also laugh the whole time! It’s a great way to view and see the city we love!

s Buffalo a safe city to live in?
The crime rate in Buffalo is actually 88% higher than the national average which makes the city one of the highest crime cities in the United States. With a crime rate of 44 per one thousand residents, a resident's chance of becoming a victim of crime is one in 23.

*YAAAWWWNNNNNN* _... Buffalo -_ I always felt the name here should be *_Starlight City._* I didn't know this is the first city to use Electricity.
Damn Buffalo y'all missed the mark. Changing the name here to *_"Starlight City/City of Starlight"_* might make it more interesting.
NYC-Harlemite here. Trust Me, after You see few mildy exciting things to do in Buffalo, it's back to being a very *BORING CORNY* place about nothing to write home about. Which is good if You're into that sort of thing.

@@archiebunker7688 - If that all there is to keep boredom at bay its still a Boring City. That PROVES My point about Buffalo. You're *_Corny attempt_* to enlighten Me about some cheesy wings. I bet they use *_PHAKE PLASTIK_* Cheese Wiz or Velveeta.
Besides I don't eat Cheese much nor much of the so-called "_Buffalo Wings (unless I or My Family cooks)._
Of that Buffalonians don't even Season correctly _(very lacking)_ the original recipe invented by John Young who had his restaurant on Jefferson Ave.
*_Frank & Teresa's_* on Main St. lying asses STOLE & CORRUPTED the recipe from him with BORING flavorless, very heavy on vinegar & salt *_Red Hot Sauce._* In *_Anchor Bar_* they don't even at least mix in Butter. !!BLAH!!
The only food in Buffalo with REAL flavor - Jamaican, E. Indian, Arab, Somalian & My Soul Food.

Why didn't you mention the high crime neighborhoods that you're complaining about? Don't you think that would be something people would like to know.? What's so bad about snow? I love the four seasons. A Lot of posters tend to disagree with you. When I was there visiting, the people were awesome, maybe that's why Buffalo is called the "City of Good Neighbors." I don't know, but I think you got it wrong.

Buffalo is not iconic brother. At least not anymore or from my experience living here most of my life. (They say it's 'the city of brotherly love') but I've met some of the most vile, disgusting, junkie criminals here. And I used to ride trains around the US. I'm trying not to hate because I can tell you put a lot of hard work and effort into producing and editing this vid, but I think just a few of your facts are off. Some of the stuff you speak is spot on tho brother. But yeah IN MY HUMBLE OPINION and IF I HAD KIDS I'd get out of Buffalo ASAP. Theres not opportunity here for pretty much anybody. And brother I don't want you to think I'm talking $#*t about you, but Rough Buff isn't that great. We just had a mass shooting at tops and we have 2 seasons, 4th of July and Winter. Anyways I'm looking forward into seeing if you go into any other cities and explore them. I literally just found out about this channel like less than a minute ago. Stay up G -Nick
