In the olden days, it was the Evanston Express and the 4000s. I remember asking my aunt (who passed away a week before this video was shot) if we could ride on it, to which she replied, "It doesn't stop anywhere!" In those days, Evanston Expresses ran nonstop from Howard to Merchandise Mart. Those switches at Berwyn were there for years. I'll bet they were put in so that North Shore trains operating on the outer tracks could stop there to pick up or discharge guests at the Edgewater Beach Hotel. The signs at Berwyn used to say, "Berwyn-Edgewater Beach."
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me
That Purple Line express is fun! The fastest I ever rode a vehicle. I have video of it but haven't done anything with it. Edit: I might make my own Rail fan channel. IDK.

The 7 can do 55 MPH if an operator has the balls to
The MTA has adopted a, "You'll get there - eventually" slogan.

You never seen any subway stations like that in New York City, especially on an elevated platform.
Back in the day, the R-10s would rip past 81st St. n/b at full speed. You'd see a blur of teal and white.
Nice video!
