I never got the impression Oman was rich but I guess they have made this all these years later after the war 15 years before. Did you know and I was told this first hand that a lot of Omani’s worked in the docks and on ships. When the war was over they were invited back given land and money to settle and build a house.

Yes, you are right re. Omani's working abroad during the 60's & 70's. Omani's were working in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain & UAE.
