You gotta admire how devoted they are to connect with all InSomias around the world. Dami watching a documentary on why we use ¿? Shows they're genuinely interested.
1:12 The question mark at the start is because we don't have any particle nor word to express that the next sentence is a question or an exclamation, we just change the tone of how we express it from start to end. If you are reading out loud, you need to know what energy a sentence will use so it sounds natural, and that marks tell you that. But yes, if you're not used to reading out loud or if you're texting then most people usually just ignore it 😅
I agree, I never thought about why we use ¿ and ¡ but your explanation makes sense. It's so natural to us that I never stopped to think that maybe for foreigners it's weird that there's a question or exclamation sign at the beginning too instead of just at the end. We are the only language that does that as well lol
@@kaatsu1264 I don't remember that being teached to us, I guess it's one of those things you learn naturally. But I do remember learning to read out loud poetry or just any text impromptu and if you don't have that mark at the start you can lose so much rhythm and tone. I didn't know that only spanish has it tho, I just guessed that other Latin languages also used it, now I understand why they were so surprised by it 😅
@@GDL25 yeah same, it's true that when reading poetry out loud it can get very messy if the marks are not there. 😂 I looked it up before writing the comment just to make sure but yes, we are they only language that uses double signs. Another thing that makes spanish unique, I guess
really. that's interesting. I'm unable to speak Spanish well(just simple things like: Que hora es) and other then when I was in High School, I never bothered to learn how to write it but.. I can read it and basically understand what's written
La pronunciación de todas en español es muy buena, wow. Yoohyeon dijo una frase súper larga y le salió perfecto, sobre todo el sonido de la ñ que a los extranjeros les cuesta bastante, Dami dijo "excelente" que es bastante difícil de pronunciar, y también le salió excelente jajaja Dreamcatcher reinas del español
Siyeon here is the unnie and Leader in behalf of JiU and SuA awee I really admire them learning in Spanish,Japanese, Chinese and English.. I'm also learning Korean because of them ☺
Es perfecto, su Español Whosfan TV ojalá sigan invitando a Dreamcatcher. Y a las chicas las esperamos con lo brazos abiertos en México, ojalá puedan venir en su próxima gira!
jaja a mi me paso al revés, mi mini yo cuando aprendía por primera vez el ingles dijo: y cómo se donde empieza la pregunta!? cuenta la leyenda que al día de hoy sigo usando un solo signo de interrogación xd
dami's right. as someone who's native language is spanish, i don't know why we use the upside down question mark when asking questions. like.... why is it there??? ¿porqué?

I only ever use ¿ and ¡ when I'm writing formally, like an email to a teacher or something lol I completely ignore them most of the time 😂
