True, compliments work for the RIGHT guys. I noticed that the not so nice ones will interpret a simple appreciative word like an invitation to make a pass at you or disrespect your personal space. So ladies, be careful who you're complimenting.

This guy I was dating wanted to get a certain car and I said without thinking, "those cars are for pretty boys" He was pissed and said, "Thanks a lot!!" But I actually saved myself by saying, "That type of car is for a Ken doll, you are an action hero" He liked that. : )

Will guys get all the subtle elements of these compliments? I've always found that guys never pick up on anything as a compliment unless it said in a very direct and obvious way!
I told a guy once that he was handsome and he just replied with 🙈🙈 and I asked him “Are you not used to compliments?” and then he was like “I don’t like them because I feel embarrassed and make me blush. You should save them for your future bf”

so, are used a natural complement with a guy I had known for several years that I had worked with. We got together one day and there were sparks. There was an opera singer (who sang the role of commander in one performance) whom I told that it was pretty hard to believe that the female protagonist fell in love with an old, fat man instead of him-- the handsome, young commander. He took it as a big offence and was mad at me😄.. I should have realized at that very moment I was dealing with the biggest narcissist.

Its actually pretty easy to compliment men genuinely. I find that most men don't get compliments as much as we do. So I typically just compliment like I would to another female just frame my wording different for instance, to a another female "I love that dress where did you get it" to a man "that shirt looks realllly good on you". Tone of voice and eye contact is important. To a female "wow girl you've really been crushing it at work" to a guy "I'm so impressed".

Please help!!! so a guy that use to work for my family business has been talking with me for 2 months, we dont meet in person because my father would kill us. He said he isnt ready for a girlfriend but still sweet talks a lot, is always texting me first (literally every day but it doesnt amount to much we just talk about our day), is sometimes sexual even though he understands i will not do anything with him... he knows i like him and he has said he is interested but when i try asking where this is going he is vague and wants me to say where i want this to go but im embarrassed so i dont say anything. Am i being strung along?
If he’s said that he’s not ready for a girlfriend yet, then believe him. Especially if he’s vague when you ask him about your relationship. Chances are that he just likes spending time with you but isn’t ready for something serious.
