The ability to edge clean is super important imo. I bought a Tineco S3 and really wish I had gotten an S5 after seeing the edges of my floors not getting cleaned.
It depends. I definitely think it's useful. But even with edge cleaning. There are some corners and crooks none of these machines will reach. You will still have to go in by hand. It's also only one sides which reduce how practical it truly is. There is one machine with double edge cleaning. But I do wonder how long that would last. I do have it and I like it alot for the kitchen, in front of the cabinets especially. But I feel like there still needs to be hand cleaning every few months. They help us alot but tech isn't that advanced yet.
this is my favorite channel on you tube. I have only purchased vacuums based on your recommendations for the last 4 years and have NEVER been disappointed. Thank you for such an awesome and detailed review.
Be advised, we had the Tineco S3 for 2 years and it's run into all sorts of issues. Battery stopped working, had to send it in for repairs. Then the suction stopped, had to send it in for hose replacement. Now the suction stopped again, and Tineco support basically threw their hands up stating they "no longer have parts" to support me and it's just outside the 2 year warranty so they refuse to support it. Warranty and expected quality/longevity of the product would be an interesting addition to this.
I have a Tineco S3 that has all the same issues. Spilling water all over the floor, sent back twice, now the batter doesn't hold the charge. I do like the product when it works but the unit is only 3 years old and at a $400 price tag I expect it to last longer then 3 years. Especially since it is $100 each time I had to send it back
Same thing happened to me with the S5. Didn’t even make it a full 2 years before it stopped working completely. I decided it wasn’t worth the $100 to send it in for repair and I won’t spend that much money on a wet vac going forward. Super disappointed with Tineco. It worked fantastic until it didn’t. I would buy an older model on sale for less than $150-200 if I were to re-purchase, and I’d be real about the life expectancy.
Thanks for the test, however it would have been nice to actually see a final chart with all the test scores, so everyone can filter and sort for their own preferences.
I feel like that's been the case lately with these reviews, it's a shame cause it seems like all the b roll shows all these machines being tested so I'm sure it's at least mostly done but the actual video isnt presenting enough information to make an informed decision sometimes It's almost like an AI video to speed up production of videos rather than quality content
I've been using a Tineco original iFloor for about 6 months. I got it at Walmart for only $99 and it appears to work just like these newer models. I am getting a ton of use from it. Wonderful addition to my cleaning tasks.
I got S5 Pro and love it after using Dreame H11 Max and Osotek H100 Pro. It is more quiet, get more water to clean but the floor is less wet after cleaning, results are better and the mop is very clear after selfcleaning. In Dreame after self cleaning I got dirty traces on the next mopping. Waiting for more comparisions with brands like Dreame or Hizero. Self cleaning could be a category in ranking. I think it is important for more people than me. Best Mateusz
Got my Mom the Tineco S5 Steam and she loves it, half the main floor is hardwood and tile so it's perfect and she also uses it to clean the floor of her shower.
@@OGCJ10 Great, I’ve been using it once a week for the past year. The washable filter hasn’t lost any airflow compared to its spare they sent with it. I’ve also learned you can substitute their solution for a generic bottle of pH nuetral cleaner at Home Depot for 1/100th the price. (Bissell sure charges a ton for their stuff…) Overall, still impressed at the unit. I’ll add though… Over the break, I decided that I wanted my mopping routine to be as easy as my vacuuming one, so I bought a robot vac/mop. I thought it would perform just as well as this hydro steam, and Vacuum wars ironically released a video today confirming just that. I would trust the hydrosteam to handle big messes better than a robot, but I can always wipe up big messes with a rag first, then have the robot follow up with the final touch. If all pans out with my new robot in the next month and I don’t feel like I need my hydrosteam anymore, I’ll probably hand it over to someone else.
I have the Tineco S5 cordless and it's pretty good, though it does not do the vacuuming part of the job as well is it should. I've also used a Hizero and while it has always been problem-prone, it does pick up the dry debris well. Perhaps the Roborock Dyad with its counter-rotating brushes would do better. It's nice having one side of the Tineco S5 roller go all the way to the edge, but there are many cases where I wish both sides went to the edge as it's not always possible to turn the vacuum around to get to the "good side". Overall, though, the S5 does a good job and is easy to use.
I wish we could see the chart comparing them. Because for me quietness is super important to me and run time since I’m looking to get one for my business soon.
Great video, As an owner of many machines a father to 2 small girls I keep finding my self unable to decide which device to pick many times, I think that can be great video. Lot's of the mess I need to clean are moist sticky stuff like rice, couscous, Quinoa and etc. Taking the tineco after each meal is a pain since they get stinky of you don't get rid of the waste after each use. Using dyson or classic vac I'm scared to damage it and when I use it the soft roller can throw parts further away or stick in many places in the vac (the roller, the hose, the roller housing, the bin). I always wonder if a portable shop-vac (like the small dewalts and etc) will do the trick but reviews are discouraging. I would love to hear your take on everyday issues such as these
For sticky and moist food you could use what restaurants have and use a sweeper. With manual or battery powered sweepers there's no dirty water tank or vacuum air path to get dirty from the food. Crumbs get swept up into a dirt bin right by the brushes. What do you think?
I’m a bit disappointed that Hizero was excluded from this competition. I know it’s somewhat in a class of its own since it doesn’t utilize any suction technology and relies on sweep/mop tech, but the Hizero F500 is the newest model and IMHO is a game changer for hard floor cleaning. It’d be interesting to see it in a future video. Thanks!

I’m very disappointed the Hizero was not included. I, like the other commenters above, bought the original Hizero and have been mostly happy with its performance. It’s extremely expensive, but it cleans our dark brown (nearly black) floors very well using only water, no cleaning solution. If the argument for not including it in this test is that it’s in a category of its own, how will we ever see how it stacks up to more conventional options?
@@TouringTalesAustraliacare to elaborate on your opinion? I have had a Tineco S3, S5 Pro 2 and now have a S7. They are all awesome. The S7 having dual edge cleaning and the LED is nice. It is overpriced but I got it on sale which helps. S5 Pro 2 is best middle ground as edge cleaning is a must have.
Can you please do these tests with tile. I have had my tineco S5 blue version but I notice it does not do well with picking spills up that drip into grout lines. I think the better cleaner would be able to handle different levels on the floor. My tineco brush roller is just not fluffy enough to reach in grout lines and soak up liquid. Now I will say it does well on sucking up Chihuahua hair. Occasionally it will spit it out but for the most part it does better than my bissell pet carpet cleaner. Lol
You Should take spare parts into recommendations (easy to get, price range of spare parts, easy to chance, ...) Bought the shark, loved the machine... Only thing rhat enyed le was that i couldn't find spare parts (and one brissel wasn't easily changeable,or had to remove the motor that was attached to the main brissel)...
Legitimately incredibly helpful, thank you! I'm looking to buy my first electric mops and I want one that works *Well* so this is very useful information!
I wish you would include battery life!! That's like a huge one for me. I clean houses for a living and you have helped me to find all of my clients the vacuum that best fix their needs.
I would really like to see you test the ryobi vacuums and wet dry mop just to see where they line up. I love that you can just swap in another battery when one goes dead.
Recommendation for a deep cleaning floor scrubber, not something that is just going to spray water and vacuum it up. I need something to really scrub built up grime off hardwood and tile floors. I have two bad knees so getting down on the floor and hand scrubbing isn't an option...I won't be able to get back up, lol. Thanks! :)
We just updated our top picks and the Bissell Hydrosteam came out on top. The steam is really helpful. vacuumwars.com/best-vacuum-cleaners/best-hard-floor-cleaners/
First, really enjoy your videos. Very competent work you do on all your comparisons. Question. Do these cleaners work on tile. I have mostly tile and I have a shark steam mop but it's not really for the things that these machines have the ability to do.
Still waiting for a test that shows how well smudges/smears/grease is removed from dark glossy hardwood floors. Everything I have tried does not work well or leaves streaks
Here are some tips to help. If you dry vacuum first you will have less dirt turn into mud so you'll get less dirty streaks. Using too much cleaning solution will leave residue on your floors. You can reduce the amount of cleaner you use or go over your floors with just water to rinse the floors. I would avoid the steam machines on wood as heat can cause the finish to dull. Choose a vac-mop with a manual solution trigger instead of automatic dispensing so you can control and reduce the amount of water put down. Avoid Swiffer Wet Pads as they have too much cleaner on them. The corded Bissell Crosswave is very loud. So far I like the Corded Hoover Streamline and the Corded Bissell SpinWave. Hope that helps.
I really like the Hizero. It came out on top for cleaning performance in the first round of there he did, but he has left them out of subsequent testing. For greasy spots on wood I use a couple of drops of Sal's Suds, rather than the included cleaner, either in the machine or mixed in water in a spray bottle to pretreat bad spots. They way that machine scrubs seems to work better for grease than the softer, higher speed brushes in other machines. It's expensive though. I got mine on sale for 35% off, otherwise I'd look for a refurbished model.
I would imagine anything that can remove grease has the potential to impact finish. I'd think the steam vac/mops would work for grease but wonder how well the roller would 'self clean'. I suspect 'hands and knees' is still the way to go to lift a greasy mess.

Wow, nice video. It's comprehensive!! Thank you for your effort! Btw, I have to say in some aspects of cleaning performance, Jimmy's upcoming new dual roller brush wet/dry vacuum is superior to these products.
I don't think I saw the Narwal S20 Pro in the lineup. For anyone considering a wet/vacuum I would recommend to look at the S20 pro. It seems the engineers solved all of typical short comings of premium wetvacs in a cheaper, lighter package and includes more features while at the same time doing everything better. For any canadians looking, Bestbuy has a deal on until Dec15th for 150$ off.
I need a side by side comparison of the s7 steam cordless and the s5 steam corded. That would be the breaker tie for me since they both steam. One is endless battery life, one self cleans, one might have more power and high temp than the other. I need this video in my life.
Do you plan to test the NARWAL S20 Pro Cordless Vacuum Mop with Self-Cleaning, Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner for Hard Floors soon? Thank you for all your videos!
I've been using the mop roller for over a year. Most of these machines will work as expected for the first 3 months or more. But the real test is how would they perform after a year. Will their suction still perform enough. My experience after one year my machine start to leave extra water behind thus create streaks when dry. The more dirty water the better it is. It would harder to do comparison of a year old devices but that would be really helpful. For device that cost more than $500 it should last at least 2 years. But 3 years would be ideal.
I'd like see a version of this that focuses only on no steam models. I have vinyl laminate flooring that says to avoid steam as over time wet heat will damage it. Plus it says too much water can damage it, so some mention of how wet they get the floor (or maybe how much water they use over a set bit of floor) would be helpful.
You can warp/discolour your vinyl with steam mops as it is plastic. The steam can also melt the adhesive clue that hold it in place. Without speculating too much. you can call any decent commercial steam cleaning services and get a second opnion. They won't even touch my vinyl hybrid flooring which is also semi plastic. I only use my Tineco for my tile floors.
Hi all I got a Tineco S5 and loved it initially, but it stopped charging after 1 year. I'd mop once a week sometimes every 2 weeks So maybe 40 x for the year, 2500 sqft home, so not that much use, always used the recommended tineco floor cleaner.
Thank you for the test. While I appreciate the steam function and also the longevity gain of not having a battery, corded tools for moving jobs are such an hassle, I'd rather go battery all the time. I have a battery lawn mover, and I'm really happy I didn't buy a cord one, so if I'm buying one of these in the near future, is going to be the S5 Pro 2 i think; in any case my use is washing floors which are "clean"' in which they're normally dirty but don't have particular stains or spills, that I clean by hand. I think the only alternative would be a robot with mopping functionaly, my mother has one (Deebot T20) and onestly it's pretty good.
Question about the drying mode, did you make SURE that it's a real thing ? I know roborock lied about their, there was absolutely no heating element in the base So did you tested it yourself in real world conditions to see if the roller dried faster ? or did you just took the word of the brand ? Also I really think you should add the MSRP prices in the US. Prices are generally the same in most country and it would give us a reference on what to expect without needing to check the individual price of every cleaner in the video
Hello, Idea for membership features: give access to the database so members can filter the data themselves for me for example I dont care about the noise so I would disregard the volume factor to see what would be best for me
I have the Bissle Crosswave Pet and honestly it’s the biggest pile of crap I’ve ever had and wasn’t designed for anyone with a pet larger than a shoebox. It doesn’t clean beyond a light wipe and I’ve had to go back to using a scrubbing brush.
Hi, thank you for making this video. One thing I noticed was that the Shark Hydrovac was selected as the "Budget Pick" in this video. But on the website, it's showing the Bissell Crosswave as the "Best Budget". Would you recommend one over the other?
hello, I'm interested in which of these two models is better and which one you recommend before I buy if the price is the same Tineco ifloor 5 or Tineco Floor ONE S3
What would you suggest as an ultimate handle anything vacuum? I like carpet cleaners for their ability to scrub hardfloors and carpets and have a handheld pipe for cars and upholstery etc, but their downfall is dry vacuuming. I'm looking for a wet dry like the karcher or george but I much prefer upright and want the spin scrub that carpet cleaners have.
How good were they in collecting hair of the floor either animal or human hair? Does the hair affect their performances and how easy is it to remove the hair from the brush heads as I would assume they would get tangled in it.
My shark stopped working less than a year after I bought it. It would no longer self-clean and then it wouldn’t run because it said it needed the dirty water emptied even after you emptied it. Replaced filters, cleaned it, replaced brush heads…nothing worked.
I prefer Cord vacuum over the cordless one.....I don't have luck using" battery operated" vacuum because u cannot find spare battery most of the time....
Hello is your tineco Floor one S5 stream still the best? I saw tineco has an S7 stream, not sure if that’s better or if there is a better model now? Thank you
What about a combo for both tiles and rug? Is there a vacuum that’s a very good rug cleaner and tile cleaner. Asking cuz my apartment has rug bedrooms and tile floors everywhere else
I have an Tineco S6. It was great for about 6 months. now the battery won't charge past 44%. It shuts off randomly even after everything is cleaned on the machine and won't work sometimes for hours before somehow coming back to life for a while and then doing it all again. I would be more interested in a video on durability over performance. What good is the Tineco performance if it craps out after 6 months? (I live in Asia and the warranty is not always honored where I live).
One question, if you were to score the price. What math function would you use ? Like a sigmoid, linear, bell curve ? I generally use a half bell curve, any product under my price target get a max score and any product higher will get a lower score. What do you think ?
I will say since I'm sold on the tineco s5 steam but I'll settle for the Bissell hydrosteam since my best buy doesn't carry the tineco floor one s5 steam but does the hydrosteam
Note for anyone reading: the Shark Hydrovacs have a sensor that detects whether the clean tank is empty and it will go faulty on you eventually. Fortunately if you keep your receipt Shark should replace it, but I ended up hacking into mine to bypass the sensor. I've had mine for about a year.
I just wanted to second this fact. My Shark Hydrovac no longer works after only a year due to failed clean water tank sensor. This is why I'm here, to figure out what to replace this POS with. (to be fair, it was a good vac until the sensor stopped working)
@@Deviloc1 I bought the Tineco Floor ONE S5 Steam (the corded one) a month ago. The water tank lasts a lot longer so I don't have to stop as much when I'm cleaning. One thing to note is the S5 Steam you are supposed to use only water, no cleaners, so I bought one of those small garden sprayers you pump to pressurize and then spray. I put my floor cleaner and water in that, spray my floor down, then I use the S5 Steam to pick it up. The S5 Steam is quite a bit more expensive than the Hydrovac but so far it is the better machine IMO. It cleans better overall. You could eat off my floors haha
only part im curious about is a lot of your overall picks have not the best reviews... it would be nice to have the chart so I can what would best for us
So the Bissell "CrossWave HydroSteam" didn't make it on any of the picks yet you have it as the #1 spot on your website. You've done the same for other vacuums as well which I have bought and tested. I'm starting to doubt the validity of these ratings.

Could you try the (Eufy) MACH 1 Ultra. It is a cordless steam floor washer that, supposedly, has a lot of power, suction, and battery life.
Would love to see them tested with tile with grout
Pretty sure they would all fail. I wish there was a residential electric “mop” with an actual rotating brush that can actually reach the grout!
@@missmisfitsthere are
@@tracyjohnson5023 which one?
Can you please do these tests with tile. I have had my tineco S5 blue version but I notice it does not do well with picking spills up that drip into grout lines. I think the better cleaner would be able to handle different levels on the floor. My tineco brush roller is just not fluffy enough to reach in grout lines and soak up liquid. Now I will say it does well on sucking up Chihuahua hair. Occasionally it will spit it out but for the most part it does better than my bissell pet carpet cleaner. Lol
You Should take spare parts into recommendations (easy to get, price range of spare parts, easy to chance, ...)
Bought the shark, loved the machine...
I clean houses for a living and you have helped me to find all of my clients the vacuum that best fix their needs.
did you test the mach v1 and v1 ultra? would love to see a review!
You know you’re hitting peak adulting when wet and dry vacuums, and lawn mowers are your new conversation pieces around the dinner table.
@VacuumWars why did the Bissell Hydrosteam end up above the Tineco S5 steam?
The Tineco seemed better from this video
@@brookemccarty2318 Probably they are getting a higher affiliate commission from the Bissell.
Eagerly awaiting your review of the Mach V1 and V1 Ultra. As usual excellent content. Thank you!
same here, ive had the eufy(anker) mach one ultra for awhile now and like it

First, really enjoy your videos. Very competent work you do on all your comparisons. Question. Do these cleaners work on tile. I have mostly tile and I have a shark steam mop but it's not really for the things that these machines have the ability to do.
Still waiting for a test that shows how well smudges/smears/grease is removed from dark glossy hardwood floors. Everything I have tried does not work well or leaves streaks
You should do one!

Mate the dyad pro has edge cleaning on both sides
Curious about the Bissell spinwave smartsteam
Wow, nice video. It's comprehensive!! Thank you for your effort!
Btw, I have to say in some aspects of cleaning performance, Jimmy's upcoming new dual roller brush wet/dry vacuum is superior to these products.
Why is the Hizero left out of this?
Is this because it’s just too far advance compared to the suction relied?
Agreed! I want to see how it stacks up! Because there’s no vacuum motor it has incredible run time on a pretty small battery.
Awesome videos!!!! How would they do with tile floors because I have 12”x12” tiles?????
I'm keen to see how the new Roborock Flexi Pro will perform after it has hit the shelves!
2:50 isn’t the robot rock dyad pro 2 sided? It has three brush rolls, left right and center
Was the newer S7 steam part of this review? I’m interested in a version that steams and would prefer cordless
Please include Eufy MACH V1 Ultra. Thank you!
There is a new s7 Steamer. Would love you to try it out
I want to see the comparison of the s7 steamer cordless and the s5 pro steam corded
Yeah, I have the shark 3 in 1 because I can't use steam on my hard wood floors because they are delicate
Which one has the best suction / best for pet household!
I'd like to see you test them on slate tiles pls. If they can suck up everything in the crevices and all. Thx
Great vid. Question: What cordless vacuum mop do you recommend for specifically pet hair and sanitizing floors?
Thank you, your testing methods are inclusive.
You’re welcome!
Hi all
I got a Tineco S5 and loved it initially, but it stopped charging after 1 year. I'd mop once a week sometimes every 2 weeks
So maybe 40 x for the year, 2500 sqft home, so not that much use, always used the recommended tineco floor cleaner.
thanks for that. Wondering if you've had a look at the new Dyson wet/dry stick vacuum? Cheers
I know roborock lied about their, there was absolutely no heating element in the base
So did you tested it yourself in real world conditions to see if the roller dried faster ? or did you just took the word of the brand ?
Also I really think you should add the MSRP prices in the US. Prices are generally the same in most country and it would give us a reference on what to expect without needing to check the individual price of every cleaner in the video
Hello, Idea for membership features: give access to the database so members can filter the data themselves for me for example I dont care about the noise so I would disregard the volume factor to see what would be best for me
You gotta try the Eufy V1 Mach Ultra.
Would you recommend the shark hydrovac or the Bissel hydrosteam? Both are around the same price but I’m not sure which one to buy!
How about dried blood ? Are they good for cleaning that kinda of stuff?
I have the Bissle Crosswave Pet and honestly it’s the biggest pile of crap I’ve ever had and wasn’t designed for anyone with a pet larger than a shoebox. It doesn’t clean beyond a light wipe and I’ve had to go back to using a scrubbing brush.
Hi, thank you for making this video. One thing I noticed was that the Shark Hydrovac was selected as the "Budget Pick" in this video. But on the website, it's showing the Bissell Crosswave as the "Best Budget". Would you recommend one over the other?
Do you recommend these kinds of floor cleaners over traditional mopping or steam mops?
hello, I'm interested in which of these two models is better and which one you recommend before I buy if the price is the same
Tineco ifloor 5 or Tineco Floor ONE S3
Can you do a comparison on the new Dyson wash G1?
We are waiting for it to release in the US still!
Thanks for the video!
Was the Eufy Mach V1 Ultra included in this test? Have you had any experience with it?
Great info! Helped me decide which one to buy for my house with two great pyrs and hardwood floors
Glad to hear it! We hope you enjoy whichever you choose!
Need a comparison with Dyson wet mop too !!
I’m surprised you still haven’t tested the Tineco Floor One S7 Steam Cordless, especially for this video!!!
How about the Narwal S10 pro?
How good were they in collecting hair of the floor either animal or human hair? Does the hair affect their performances and how easy is it to remove the hair from the brush heads as I would assume they would get tangled in it.
You really are the best…would you recommend any of these for real hardwood? Thank you in advance
My shark stopped working less than a year after I bought it. It would no longer self-clean and then it wouldn’t run because it said it needed the dirty water emptied even after you emptied it. Replaced filters, cleaned it, replaced brush heads…nothing worked.
Please test the GTECH hard floor cleaner 😊
What do you end up doing with the vacuums? I would love to purchase one if possible 😁
Test the osotek one it’s amazing
I’m really looking for a corded version when I clean the Flores I do not want to be limited in the amount of time I can do it
I bought the Bissell pet pro and don’t like it much, so sending back and finding a better one.
I have to put it on carpet mood for my wooden floor to get more water.
Thank you
No worries appreciate the reply! ❤
Is this done on hardwoord floors, laminate or vinyl? I thought steam is not recommended on hardwood floors
I’m sad that the steam vacuums don’t also have edge cleaning capabilities. Any recommendations with both those features? Or do they not exist?
I will say since I'm sold on the tineco s5 steam but I'll settle for the Bissell hydrosteam since my best buy doesn't carry the tineco floor one s5 steam but does the hydrosteam
We hope you enjoy it!
@@VacuumWars I hope so too I will say it sucks that solutions are expensive just spent 70 bucks on just 5 bottles of solutions
Is this still accurate for December 2024 or is there a new updated list?
Which one is best for pet hair? Could you test with pet hair ? Like if it gets clogged fast.
I miss a tile test. Need to see if the groves are really clean.
Will any of these have trouble with hair on the roller? In our house, the long-haired ladies shed like crazy.
You saved me some money because I was about to purchase the shark
Loved your evaluation!!
We're so happy you liked it!
only part im curious about is a lot of your overall picks have not the best reviews... it would be nice to have the chart so I can what would best for us
I want to see the ratings of everything and make my own choice. Sad to do all this wok and not provide that in a table.
So the Bissell "CrossWave HydroSteam" didn't make it on any of the picks yet you have it as the #1 spot on your website. You've done the same for other vacuums as well which I have bought and tested. I'm starting to doubt the validity of these ratings.
