Emma's vocal range is so UNDERRATED. she is a GEM and people really don't understand how important her voice is to the harmonies and esthetics of their songs. She sings most of the melodies and high parts, harmonizes beautifully. And floats into her ad libs
@Music is life. unless you're Beyoncé, Camilla, or Diana Ross hardly anyone's solo career has ever taken off after a successful girl group no matter how talented or entertaining they are I.e. Coko Clemons from SWV, Nicole from PCD, Even if you're the lead singer it's hard to take off UNLESS the group was always set up to put you into a solo position
That face that Geri made 0:13 when Mel did the growl kinda says "Ok, you're the best!" to Mel C. It reminds me of that one time in their 2008 reunion after Mel sang a high note and Geri asked her to do it again. I think they all (especially Geri) knows that Mel C is really their best singer. She's also watched some of her solo concerts through the years. SG reunion concerts (2008 & 2019) really would not have worked without Melanie C. I'm glad even though she was always the one reluctant to come back, she still decides to do so. Their concerts would just be weird and boring without her.

Just me, or Melanie C could almost be superimposed on her typical portraits of 1998 when onstage... and, almost no differencies? It's sort of incredible - yes a less slim body, but even more muscled than it was back then, and identically toned like smooth marble. In some instances, her face and expressions + the ponytail look impressively like 22 years earlier. Go Sporty, you're ageing exactly like a fine wine !!!!!
