  • Today, Ian is comparing the new Titleist TSR2 vs TSR3. After enjoying both, Ian is trying to find out which is actually most suitable for his game.
    The TSR2 is a “max” performance driver offering a combination of speed and stability. The Titleist TSR2 is slimmed down and ramped up. For players who make contact across the entire surface of the face, it combines Titleist's most significant CG shift with a new Multi-Plateau VFT face to boost speed across the face.
    While the TSR3 provides speed and distance through precision tuning technologies such as SureFit Adjustable CG Track weighting. For players with a consistent impact location, the Titleist TSR3 is your ticket to maximum driving performance.
    Each of these models provide distinct performance options for a variety of players.

    Thank you guys I'm deciding between these two, and great comparison, I'd like to add ever since you got together with Martin and he told you you were a little to static which you knew, I gotta say your swing looks incredible, much more athletic, you look like everything working really nice together, just my 2 cents , I'd take anyone of those drives but of course the better you are the more you expect, I love the high toe ,, they just get out there with distance,, Thanks again guys great content, !!

    I can't believe how much going from TSi2 to TSR3 has done for me. I was already getting about 10 yds more carry with the TSR2 but I couldn't find the center of the head as well. TSR3 gives me similar carry on avg except when I hit it on the screws: then it's another 8-10 yds for me. I'm not long and I rely on roll, but 225 avg carry to 238 with the occasion 245-250 is huge for me. What a milestone for Titleist! And the Tensei 1K 65 plays just like my Hzrdus Yellow HC 63g but slightly smoother. Easily interchangeable! Life is good! Thanks for the video gents!

    I got fitted, and I was dead set walking in that I wanted a TSR3 but I ended up leaving with the TSR2. My previous gamer was the cobra radspeed, and the difference in forgiveness is insane. I hit a terrible shot out the toe and it ended up going like 284 meters which is like 310 yards ish and the fitter was like yeah good shot lad, and I was like no that was so far out the toe, and the gc quad shows that it was literally 20mm out to the toe😂😂.
    Spin numbers stayed consistent and I got tonnes of distance. I tried the TSR3 and just didn’t get as much forgiveness and distance on mis hits. I’m not the best driver player so I just thought why don’t I take more consistency than ego this time. I think it’ll work out great. I tried all the shafts on offer like the tour ad stuff but I couldn’t quite get the feel of them. I ended up going with my usual shaft: hzrdus black (their new rendition this year). Great driver, nothing else like it I think currently.

I had a GD XC stiff shaft in my old TSi3 and was fitted into the Hzrdus 4G for the TSR. Tried the GD UB that replaced the XC in the premium range and it felt very loose in comparison (something the fitter agreed with). Will play around with both in the TSR before settling. • @stevet.7927
    @stevet.7927 Год назад +8

    I tried both of these this past weekend and was surprised that that both models had tangible improvements over the prior models. Here were my main takeaways. 1. TSR2 is a vast visual improvement over TSi2. Ian and Mike note this in the video but if you have can see them side by side you can really appreciate what was done to improve the visuals. I tried it and was tempted given how easy it was to hit. 2. Bigger surprise was that the TSR3 actually improved on TSi3 (which was my prior gamer). Flight windows were similar on launch monitor but was impressed with the results on my "miss" shots - for me a high toe shot. 3. Was hard to pick between the two given that results were similar on the launch monitor. Ultimately went with TSR3 since I felt like I had an easier time hitting different shaped shots. If I knew I was not going to be playing very often I would be tempted to go with the TSR2 given how confidence inspiring it is at address. Anyway, finding a new driver late in the season was a welcome surprise. The new Ventus TR Blue shaft I chose was nice as well...

Thought if I could move the weight toward the toe and maybe flatten the lie a bit I could have a driver that I will be an asset instead of score killer when my bad miss shows up. Why? It doesn’t help showcase the clubs when the the spin is off or sloppy dispersions with shafts that don’t work for Ian. Also most manufacturers offer several stock shaft offerings so testing a stock option isn’t front to cover what you’re looking for. Also, every swing will produce unique numbers, and no two shafts same launch and feel.
