Have to say that you’re a really awesome skipper! Takes a lot of patience and fortitude not lose your cool over the lack of respect to your passion for RC sub craft goodness! Love how you turn a very unfortunate situation into a positive win! Looking forward to your future RC sub video’s!!!
All the parts were from Skip Asays outfit Subtech, the ballast system was marketed as a universal ballast system. Yes that is a plastic tire filler valve, 😂
The Balao... Gato... whatever. Remove her deck-guns, paint her hull pink, recolor her wood planking a darker brown, and rename her the USS Sea Tiger... Operation Petticoat was one of my fave films as a kid.
The people that piss me off the most in the RC world, are the ones who expect everything to be perfect all the time, with zero maintenance or upkeep. The RC realm is one for builders and visionaies
Sounds to me like the buyer wanted a way out of the deal. His wife found out what he had bought and said me or the boats. 😂 My exwife did the same thing when I came home with my first Corvette, I kept the car until the divorce 😢. By that time I owned 3. 😮 Good luck, Bob.
“Batteries are fully charged. Def not a problem”, they said. “Install a Speed Controller, save some time”, they said. Now, the previously undercharged batteries are charged, and 3 speed controllers later… “Damn Chinese electronics!” 🤣👊🏻 Always an adventure.
The donating of the Kilo sub is a really nice act Bob , you are an amazing man.

Over all a big thank you Bob for the nice comments on the XXlll.
Anything RC is a labor of love. Anyone that thinks they can buy something RC and not have to put any time into it is looking at the wrong hobby.
Perhaps Mike's subworks were the fittings on the type 23 gas ballast system?

Do you have 3D files for a Balao?
Can you cut off the broken hull and replace with a 3D Printed part

The dude wouldn't even take it back if Bob fixed it? Buyer's remorse, for sure. What a flake. No submarines for him! 😎

Shipping is always hit or miss…..gotta realize that
Number 1
I think his wife didn't know what he bought and for how much!
Боб, отправляй посылки почтой России, и не забудь орешков насыпать.
He probably released he couldn’t not afford them
