@@keri1364The ruling was that she had to finish paying for her certification. Therefore, once it’s paid for, she is entitled to be certified. The ruling wasn’t a punishment, it was a decision. But I’m with you-I’d rather her not be able to use it at all after what she did!!!

It's pretty obvious what this case was about... The plaintiff changed her mind about getting certificate and she knew she had two options; finish teaching the needed hours OR pay up. She wanted to get out of the contract *without* doing neither, so she started to question the program trying to find flaws in it so she can file a lawsuit.

Because she completed the training, and the only reason she didn't have the certificate is because she hasn't paid off the tuition - now the tuition will be paid, so they HAVE to hand over the certificate.

@GSutton I understand and thank you for the explanation.

That's not true. I attend yoga classes and personal training classes with an instructor who is thoroughly trained and explained to me how the training works. They have to get trained for their job just like the rest of us have to get training for our jobs. Yoga isn't all just woo-woo crystals and stuff. My instructor, and those who work for her, take the exercises seriously, and I feel physically good after a class.

Yoga certification is dumb and a scam in its own right. Plenty of "Yoga Alliance Certified" teachers who aren't qualified to teach. Many talented, sincere and dedicated teachers with thousands of hours of study under their belt who avoid YA certification. It's basically an expensive bumper sticker.

Why are people so down on the plaintiff. What I got out of it was that she just felt a certain way out, that's all. She took the ruling well, and wasn't acting like a "spoilt brat". Both the plaintiff and defendant seem like decent people. The defendant just has more life experience, imo.
