      @@keri1364The ruling was that she had to finish paying for her certification. Therefore, once it’s paid for, she is entitled to be certified. The ruling wasn’t a punishment, it was a decision. But I’m with you-I’d rather her not be able to use it at all after what she did!!!

    It's pretty obvious what this case was about... The plaintiff changed her mind about getting certificate and she knew she had two options; finish teaching the needed hours OR pay up. She wanted to get out of the contract *without* doing neither, so she started to question the program trying to find flaws in it so she can file a lawsuit.

    Yoga certification is dumb and a scam in its own right. Plenty of "Yoga Alliance Certified" teachers who aren't qualified to teach. Many talented, sincere and dedicated teachers with thousands of hours of study under their belt who avoid YA certification. It's basically an expensive bumper sticker.

      Yes, Curt's voiceover at the beginning is played for the courtroom, which is why you'll see the audience (and, often, the litigants themselves) laughing during that segment.

    So she gets certified but didn’t complete the training/internship which is required for certification? I guess anyone can just pay a fee and get certified and put no work/training into the program to be certified, didn’t know yoga was such a scam!

    • @amandadonaldson8748
      @amandadonaldson8748 6 месяцев назад

      She completed the training. Her agreement with the defendant was that afterwards, she would work until she paid off the price of the training rather than pay money for the training. So basically she completed her training, but hadn't paid for it.

    Why are people so down on the plaintiff. What I got out of it was that she just felt a certain way out, that's all. She took the ruling well, and wasn't acting like a "spoilt brat". Both the plaintiff and defendant seem like decent people. The defendant just has more life experience, imo.

    I think it’s disappointing that the judge downplayed someone else’s ruling because he was a man. I had to sue someone recently and I cried in court and garnered no extra sympathy nor did I expect any. I was deadass just overwhelmed and tired of the mofos I was suing. She really is on a high horse.
