On my second episode of Dubai, I explored the lesser-known part of Dubai. I started from the Dubai Museum and Al-Fahidi Fort which is the perfect place to learn about Dubai history. I then passed by the Hindi Lane, which is known as the only area consisting of 2 main Shiva and Krishna temples in Dubai. In the afternoon, I took the Dubai Abra (water taxi) to cross Dubai's creek to go to the Spice Souk and Gold Souk.

In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveler and RUclips creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveler, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on RUclips, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.

..l have been living and working in Dubai as professional engineer...so we know the experience...the people from Philippine working in Dubai always thought we are Malaysian are from Philippine...thats pretty normal due to similar character and features...love Dubai in many ways actually...food, entertainment, shopping etc etc....

This is easily the best vlog covering the Creek and old souks of Dubai. You have explained everything so well. And then there are some really spectacular shots...like the one at 8:33 for example.
The men appear to be quite cheeky while encountering a solitary lady there.
At 9:21, you said 1 dirham is less than a cent...but one dirham is equal to about 27 cents, isn't it?

Taking boat to cross the water during hot summer is best way to cool off. Spending least money to enjoy and relax and slow down. Beautiful and wonderful.

It's wonderful to hear from you once again. I think that my favorite part of your video is the cafe by the water front. Very relaxing. The music played by guitar during the boat ride was wonderful. It was difficult to enjoy the song because of the ads. I have not skipped the ads although I have wanted to so I can just watch your video, but if the advertisement is for something violent, I have to skip it. Sorry... I do understand about not wanting to be in the public tours. I found tours of the Vatican museum, which is amazing, to be a little rush, rush. Get in, get out. That was my first experience of it, but the times afterwards I just took my time and it is better. I work with alot of Filipino people, so I immediately understood when you said maganda. Hi syifa. How are you? I can imagine your dubai vlog is really pumping you up. A very well researched and informative vlog. I'm amazed.
Dubai is indeed a fascinating city cos it is divided between the old and the new city. You can get the best of both worlds. I'm glad they still preserved the history, characteristics and architecture of the old city. This lure tourists to this section of dubai that reflect the people and their lives. But since many foreigners have settled down here, some alleyways, roads and the people make you feel that you are in their home country like pakistan, india etc. There is not much left of the "arab ambience " around you.
A suggestion. Since dubai is a "melting pot", perhaps you can focus on food per se in your coming vlog. That would be interesting. I'm a foodie myself (you too, I gather). Yeah, I love to try@experiment the various type of foods from various cultures. I think you are into that too. Just a wild guess.
Opsss, its the witching hour and its 3.51am now. Got to take a bite for my sahur while tomorrow is another testing day of fasting.

True, I didnt feel a lot of Arab ambience, especially in old Dubai. Most Emiratis can be found at malls when I visited Dubai mall hhahaha. I also found a lot of Filipinos as workers. Fascinating. Great video; enjoyed it. Surprisingly the video came across as quite laid back but I suspect Dubai is a busy place. Interesting to see a video focusing on the real/traditional Dubai rather than all the modern stuff.

You can try Airbnb for an alternative, and travel within Old Dubai, use public transportations to keep the cost low. Plenty of other destinations that you can consider without having to break the bank. Thank you so much!
