I had that same Ozark Trial rod. It was great until it snapped on a 4 pounder.
Ozark Trail is a subsidiary of Walmart. When I reached out to Ozark Trail there contact information is inactive and Walmart just gave me a full refund because I got the $4 protection.

The pricing is a selling tactic. The weird prices catch your eye, and usually lead to more sales. That's what I was told by someone in upper management for a major retailer anyway...
It’s not a gimmick, it lets you know (if you know) when the price will drop, and how long before it drops
You should do a review of the oak trail rod and bait caster combo... it's about $40 and I think a great combo for the price.

I respect the honesty. Most people who are affiliated with a company ( which I hope you are ) people tend to bow to the manufacture that they are affiliated with. But a major manufacturer can make a comparable alternative to a tiny company and that’s not the best option either. It’s a clear as mud. Everyone is better equipped based on your quality

Why not. I was commenting on the fact that most sponsored people don’t stretch their content like these providers. If they are e affiliated with a company most people won’t post challenging data.
