As a small child, on a flight to Scotland, our plane was struck by lightening - we lost one engine but made it safely to our destination. This happened in 1968, so I imagine technology is different now, but even so, grateful I was small enough to not "worry" about what was happening in the air.
If my house was 50%, it would feel like it was raining. Today, with windows open, our Colorado house is at 28%. I know it gets lower in the winter. I'm guessing people in Arizona or New Mexico have better stories ;) . I do use nasal gel every night. Good information. I'll keep packing cleaning wipes in my carryon! Phone? yup I obey. I watched a video about phones on planes which presented a reason as the frequencies. USA phones are right up against the range for air traffic, while in Europe there is a gap. So the restriction is a precaution.
