    She won my heart just by seeing her handwritten recipes with food stains on them. That's a real cook. God bless her.

    Thank you for your authentic nut roll recipe...I too have extremely warm memories of my Baba waking me up at 6am as a teen to help her stretch the dough over the entire dining table for apple strudel and then make nut & poppyseed rolls for Christmas...how joyful is that and I pray this for all children out there.

    By following your video, I made my 1st ever batch of nut rolls! Felt like I was in the kitchen with my Polish grandma... made them for my mom who used to make these every Christmas & Easter. Thank you!

    Thank you for sharing, Baba seems like a gem. Going to save this and the cabbage roll recipe for holidays.

    Now I see why they cost "so much" in the store ($25 - $35) but made by Grandma would be *priceless*. ❤️

    Thank you so much for sharing! This is very similar to my grandmother's recipe. She wrote down the basics, but a lot of the nuances were missing. Unfortunately she passed, so I can't ask her :( . I tried to make her recipe once and, it was disastrous! I'll have to watch this when I try it again!

    Perfect and Priceless! I'm making my Grandma's nutroll recipe this morning, which is very similar to this. The walnut filling recipes vary wildly, but I definitely remember dipping into the egg white mixture as a kid. Thanks for sharing!

    This is fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing. I just made 1/2 this recipe. They are delicious. Truly. I will make them again. Because I am new to this, I put too much of the mixture in the center and forgot to make the steam holes, so the center came out of the side. :( But overall I'm happy because these are wonderful tasting.

    Thank you for the video, but i kinda got grossed out when you started licking your fingers and using all your fingers to scoop out the contents. That is a number one No No.

    • @DavidPetro
      @DavidPetro  5 лет назад +8

      true enough for a restaurant but at home, I can guarantee that most of the world has had their mom or dad's or grandparents fingers in their food for sure :-)

      Are u kidding - no - probably not. Liking out the bowl, the spoon, the fingers is obligatory!!!😀The best part! Why does cookie-dough ice 🌹🌹cream sell so well - cause the dough tastes good to some.♥️🙋‍♀️♥️Relax and enjoy - she’s not feeding strangers, it’s for her and her family(u know her kids were probably breast fed and already have her DNA- thats known as family) so its ok by me!!!! ♥️🌏♥️🌍♥️🌎♥️🙋‍♀️ 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

      I agree, but heat will cook out any germs that might have been there and love covers a multitude of finger scoopin!

      @@shaleepayne3851 i once went to a ladys home to pick her up for bingo and she made some goodies to bring and when i saw her licking for fingers and handling all the goodies, i never ate her stuff again. For family i agree we licked the bowl, and spoons it's what i grew up with. but wouldn't if i'm bringing to friends. no disrespect. i guess i should just keep my mouth shut. sorry
