Finding a partner who will take care of the cooking for you is still my go-to tip for stress saving when it comes to meals!

definitely agree with the 'don't go shopping when you're hungry'. We went food shopping after a fry up and bought really healthy things! It's a good tip! :)

This is fab! When I'm trying to be good and save money I always meal plan and then shop only for the ingredients I need for that week online. This means I'm not tempted by anything else whilst I'm in the supermarket xx

So many good tips here - we shop online, and also ask the kids what they want too - though they do often go back to their favourites all the time. Jamie's Pea and Bacon Pasta is almost ALWAYS on their list! :-D

Great tips! But if I got Bibi involved in choosing the menu we'd be on a diet of Nutella, Petit Filou and Cake! 😆

These are great tips. Mine would be to shop in Aldi because you aren't so tempted by the end of aisle offers. Look out for the middle aisle though. Only buy what you need!

I have a meal planner pad on my fridge and I wrote down the meals for the week. We have ur usual mess we like so I just mix it up each week with what we like to eat. Weirdly just done a video on my channel about how I stayed organised 😂 great minds 👌🏼 great video and I'm a big fan of shoving things in the oven haha xx

Totally agree with the never go shopping hungry... or in my case, just never go shopping!!! I know, I know, LAZY but my husband actually LIKES the supermarket so why would deprive him? It actually really shocked me that families waste that much money in groceries, I really don't think that we do though probably because we meal plan and batch cook and save leftovers.... and yes, that is a "royal we". Hehehe. x

I'm a total meal planning nerd!!! Other tips... Make mash and rice and so on in batches and do a few meals during the week with them. Also if you prefer using paper I have a meal planner to download on my blog (www.wellwornwhisk.co.uk). Lastly, be prepared to be flexible: some nights you might think sod it and get a takeaway or need to swap one day for another. X

+Rachel Brady (Well Worn Whisk) We swap days in the week too. Because my husband does all our cooking (I know lucky me, or lazy me depending on how you look at it!!!) if he gets caught up late at work then the nights he'd be cooking things fresh get swapped for leftovers from the freezer, and vice versa. x

+Channel Mum OMG there is NOTHING wrong with ready made rice pouches!! I have 2 in the microwave (the brown rice and quinoa ones are amazing) I type! They are a very acceptable mum cheat! X

+Lucy Roberts Dear Beautiful Totally! We are swapping ours up tonight - we had one thing in the planner but we ended up using one the ingredients for lunch so I've skipped ahead a day. God no, you can't be a slave to it. That'd be weird! X PS Yes you are very lucky! Ad used to do most of the cooking for us, but as I blog food and also he works later now I do most of it.

Great tips! I think I will start shopping online more because it is so impractical with no car and I can't buy much as I have a toddler and a newborn.

we've created a shopping list in OneNote and shared it with my hubby, and if I see that I get rid of something I just open it and put it in the list.
