In this application, there is a big mistake for making the interpolation of wind direction. Because direction of wind is a rotational term. It means 0 and 360 is same value. For example we think two neighbor points that first point's direction is 10, the second point's direction is 320. If we interpolate with IDW or other Interpolating methods, It approximately gives a result close to 165 for the direction between the points. But it is not correct. In reality, it should be calculated as 345. So, we have to solve the problem with rotational-trigonometric point of view. It may calculate with trigonometric formulas.
