A true professional, even at that young age. Stick breaks, drop it, keep the beat going, and grab a new one. Oh, and drumming in heels, while singing and getting some flight time with the ponytail!
The fact that Pau can SMASH the drums and belt and do those fucking incredible vocal runs at the same time without fainting or even getting a bit out of breath is AMAZINGGGG
also if you watch carefully the broken stick ends up on top of one of the cymbals and you see it fly off about 30 seconds after it breaks when Pau hits the crash
The first Ted Talk they gave a lecture about being teenage girls making rock music in an adult male world and the challenges that they have overcome. The second Ted Talk was about their accomplishments so far and what music means to them. This is the performance that hooked me! Can'r wait for your next reaction to The Warning!!!
You missed the introduction to the song, which is part of what makes this particular performance so epic. Dany talking about music has become sort of a catch phrase for her because it’s so perfectly stated! Definitely go back and watch the introduction!! Great reaction, looking forward to more The Warning reactions!
Nice to see you ladies back to The Warning! This is the performance that hooked me on The Warning forever! I had to watch it 10 times to believe what I was seeing and hearing out of these very young sisters. Three prodigies that will be future Legends, for sure! Their new album is coming very soon, so keep an eye out!
No doubt that these sisters are insanely talented and will become rock legends!! Their third album is coming and will be a sonic tsunami. Viva The Warning!!
Great reaction!! And great to see you back with these amazing young Mexican sisters. You should take time to see both TedTalks in their entirety as they include some great dialogue as the girls share their story. They're so talented and so down to earth, and we're all anxiously awaiting their third LP any day now. Thanks for reacting to THE WARNING!
There is a footage where Pau starts to play meanwhile she took off her shoes and socks without missing a beat.... you have to watch their only official video XXI Century blood, of the album with the same name all are good songs but i want to remark shattered hearts, for me the best version was in 2020 in the whiskey a gogo or Dakota bar but all are great songs i can't choose my favorite, i suggest river soul or when I'm alone to be the next one, to be fair, they have 33 amazing originals songs all my favorites.
You mentioned before that you've played Rock Band... this is one of their songs that you can play in Rock Band 4 (as a free download) The other one is Freefalling, which comes with the game. BTW... after Pau split the tip on her stick and it flies off, it lands on a cymbal. After she replaces her stick she hits that cymbal and the piece flies off back behind her (3:16)
Pau breaks sticks all the time with her style of drumming, one of the reasons she gets the nickname, “The Shredder”. Love the Warning. So much talent. On their way to be superstars.
2 lovely ladies doing a reaction to 3 very lovey and talented ladies (yes I'm Bias). As you already have seen these girls are amazing. And did I mention that Pau was drumming in heals, impressive, no.
Nice! This was actually 2017. Their first TED talk was 2016. They were 17, 15, and 12 in this performance. You missed the talk at the beginning of the video! Drummer-reactors have said that Pau is more prone to stick breaks because she doesn’t tilt her cymbals and she hits the edge more often. Pau addressed this in a recent live saying she prefers the sound of flat cymbals to tilted cymbals. You should check out Unmendable from the same event.
I'm not a drummer but this makes considerable intuitive physical sense to me. The center of mass will be along the axis of the cymbal, but the cymbal isn't an infinitesimally thin flat disk, which could be tilted arbitrarily and remain stable as long as it was balanced exactly at the center of mass. It's actually slightly cone-shaped, so the center of mass will be inside the cone, below the surface of the cymbal. Gravity will try to pull the center of mass down, but since the cymbal's balanced at the center of its 2-dimensional projection, the cymbal will want to rotate along the third dimension to lie flat. This is why tightrope walkers carry a heavy pole with the ends pointed down; if the pole's heavy enough so that the overall center of mass is below the rope, gravity will stabilize the walker rather than destabilize the person. If the cymbal is mounted flat, it can be mounted more loosely than if it's tilted, where it has to be clamped to some degree to prevent it from rotating to be horizontal. That clamping will damp the resonance of the cymbal. If Pau prefers the sound of a more loosely held cymbal, this would make sense. Maybe I'm off base here, and the actual clamping mechanism does somehow allow the cymbal to be free, or maybe Pau clamps her cymbals more tightly even if physically they don't need to be. But I can at least see a plausible physical mechanism why Pau might prefer the sound of a flat-mounted cymbal.
I think you missed the fact that Pau was playing drums in heels. Lol. I love the communication across the stage between Dany and Ale. I love this band!
If you have any young Nieces or even nephews after you watch/listen to their songs: River's Soul, or Exterminated and their cover of Pretender: Foo Fighters, you could watch their first Tedx talk in 2016, with them. The girls talk about how they got into music and the bumps and sacrifices theyve made even at that point. in their second Ted Talk they play their original songs: UnMendable, When I’m Alone, and Survive (thsi song lol) and discuss recording their new album. Then you can show them playing Dust To Dust and It will truly show what hard work and perseverance can do towards reaching your dreams. anyways thanks be safe ciao for now.
Hi ladies, huge thanks for the reaction! My bad, I said that it was 2016, but it was indeed begin 2017. And I don't know why, but I've shared a version without the first talking part, I'll better double check next time. Btw I can definitely tell that Ari already knew the song or has watched the video before. Don't cheat ladies! Just kidding ofcourse 😁 Love you both ❤
TW's breakup songs do not tend to go well for the offending party... "your words mean nothing, your words mean nothing at all"! Great reaction ladies! Thanks!
Just a hint - The Warning has come out with new songs, and they are not just growing in age, they are growing better. Highly recommended: the official video for their new song "Evolve": ruclips.net/video/3_RB0tRI624/видео.html 😎
Pau definitely has to stay in good shape to do what she does. If you check out this whole Ted talk, they actually talk to the crowd in between songs, and Pau can barely speak she is so out of breath!

And when paying attention instead, see’s broken stick lands on rh cymbal, which goes flying off a little after when she strikes it. Watch next time. Not playing with a full stick but split in half stick.
Great reaction! This is the 3rd song of their Ted Talk. Pau had 2 other songs to get that drum stick ready to split! Another couple performances for you to check out would be Sinister Smiles- They all just kick butt on that one. Here is a link to their 2020 Wisky a GoGO performance: ruclips.net/video/xL6XxjpUhvw/видео.html Or an older performance of Muse's Hysteria: ruclips.net/video/fU26wmlF3yg/видео.html

(Super-secret -- it's easier to play in heels. True story.)
Pau's drum sticks live a short brutal life. Did you notice that Pau was wearing heels in this performance.
Pau plays the drums like she HATES them.! Cause she just beats the HELL OUT OF THEM
The fact that Pau can SMASH the drums and belt and do those fucking incredible vocal runs at the same time without fainting or even getting a bit out of breath is AMAZINGGGG

Not first time Pau loses a stick but always gets a new one wihout missing a single beat.
She had 1 at a concert go flying & it almost hit Dany. It landed out in the audience.

PUH PAU !!!
Puh Pau!! Haha nice 😁
Thumbs up for the double eye 🍭
Great reaction! Good catch on the drumstick break. That broken piece came to rest atop a cymbal which later in the song she bashed, sending it flying.
Thank you for reacting to my favourite band. More of The Warning please.
