The drop at 8:50 has lived in my head rent free for 6 years now. I hum it or sing it to myself at least once a week for about 520 consecutive weeks now
The only problem with On Cinema is that it's so hard to introduce it to your friends. I swear I'd have an easier time convincing them to join QAnon or ISIS or maybe travel to like Africa and feed the poor than to get them all caught up to speed at this point.
I hear you, kinda. I would hope it would be slightly easier to get your friends to do some humanitarian work in Africa than to join a terrorist organisation but you know them better than we do
100% true. It’s kinda like that scene in The Abyss where he has to breathe the liquid oxygen and feels like he’s gonna die, but then he starts to take it in and then he likes it.
Buddy just put me on today, kind of told me about it last week with no context so I brushed it. Then today kept quoting that shit and now I'm here, and idk what's going on, but I love it
As a hardcore country fan, the 2021 Oscar Fever as a heavily autotuned country-pop sellout song is disappointing on so many levels. So glad that Laroux was there to save the track with his verse. Nothing says "authentic country" more than Laroux.
We are upset that you got to experience it more recent than us who have been here since the beginning. Don't worry, we all have something to be upset about, you aren't alone.
Crystal was born at Doctors Hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan,[1] and initially raised in The Bronx.[3] As a toddler, he moved with his family to 549 East Park Avenue in Long Beach, New York, on Long Island.[3] With the decline of Dixieland jazz and the rise of discount record stores, in 1963, Crystal's father lost his business[6] and died later that year at the age of 54[4] after suffering a heart attack.[3] Crystal never played baseball at Marshall because the program was suspended during his first year.[10] He did not return to Marshall as a sophomore, instead deciding to stay in New York to be close to his future wife.
The song consists of only 6 notes and then there’s the bridge or whatever you call it after 4 stanza that is only 2 notes (where it goes whoooo’s gonna win, whooo’s gonna lose) So no matter how you present it with any instrument or production value it still feels like a Casio my first keyboard demo song
Major issue with this video: The 2nd entry, Dekkar covering "Oscar Fever" - which somehow morphs into a version of "Broken Bottle" (a song exploring the feelings Tim Heidecker experienced in the wake of the death of his son, Tom Cruise Jr). We now know that "Broken Bottle" is a mere clone of the original song "Qui Con Me" (stolen from Axiom's original band in Italy, a song about just going to the beach, having a good time, and hanging out with your bros.) - results in a mutant clash of stolen ideas and concepts in a category of it's own. Therefore I'm not sure if Dekkars entry in this compilation makes sense for Oscar Fever purists.
March 12 for the next Oscers. Current Gos is that sexy Hitler apologist Andrea Riseborough may swerve the main ceremony and turn up to OCATC to promote The Silmarillion!!!
You know when you act like an idiot on purpose in front of someone but it's so convincing that they honestly believe you're an idiot because your act was so good it went over their head? That's this show
I know what you mean (Manuel's auto-tune is a thing of beauty) but Micheal is providing truth here. Hoping for a speedy recovery after your accident Mike.

Names that we all knew! Timothy Chalamet WE SAY HOW DO YOU DO?
I’ve been saying that under my breath throughout the day.
the greatest comedy universe ever created, will never be beaten in my eyes
Tim Screaming in the Marching Band version will never not make me laugh.
12:33 the way he says taanselteeewwwnn kills me
I never noticed how hard Gregg is trying not to laugh in the original
He can’t help but laugh at Tim trying to distract from the movies with more bad music, especially when it was The Hobbits night
i love how close he is to cracking completely
He also does a drunken version later in the same Oscar special. Mark Proksch turns completely red from trying not to laugh haha
@@andrewwertz3335 The Hobbit didn't even win, because Greg is a fake... Tim and Axiom no more about moovees then Gregg ever knew
Mark laughing with his glass of wine lol
DKR house version is the best one
You complete me / Handle the truth / Need a bigger boat.
Dude the "handle the truth" bass drop legit slaps hard
GREAT ASS
One day this will be played at the Oscars
While he's yelling at the orchestra. "YOU'RE FLA- CHRISTMAS IN TINSA TAWN- FLAT!".

All day every day. Forever.
"Great Ass" -Pacino
Timothee Chalamet…we say how do you do?
feeling the oscar fever creeping in
ive got the "oscar shakes"!
The EDC dance remix version goes so hard.
2:57 - My favorite ‘On Cinema’ moment.
Lvl 100 "whoo!"
I love the rock version. He channels some Johnny rotten how he goes up at the end of phrases. Nice touch.
"e.m.iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"
5:06
Makes me think of Axel
When I first saw the country remix on the Hei Network, I laughed so hard that I began to cry and I couldn’t breathe.
A large portion of Tim's career has been filming things awkwardly in public parks with random traffic in the background.
They get so much mileage out of this and MT BTL, it's very impressive. Marching Band rendition is #1 for me, Tim's kicks are gold!
The screams
@@jilln.8001 very eric burdon of the animas esque

I got a fever and the only cure is more Oscar.

Timothée Chalamet

[Satan's earworm]
Watching Gregg trying to hold it together on the first is one of the reasons it's my favourite one
I’m upset that I’m late to the ON CINEMA party
Happy that I found it, just wish I knew about it earlier.
Amazing shit
same. God bless the electric sun 19

This is exactly what I wanted to see 🙌
5:28 the real gold
Omg that was seaside heights lol I was a mere 80 miles away from such a thunderous performance
My wife and I are naming our child Oscar because of this song.
Millions of Martian parents have named their newborns Humphrey Bogart
Suggestion - Tom Cruise Jr?
Oscer
Oscar loves that.
What is it about this that I find so damn funny even as I cringe like crazy? What a great series.
Pop up some popcorn and get on- getchya ass on board.
3:12 he did it again. I've just gotten hip to on cinema. some of the funniest shit I've watched in forever. God bless the electric sun 19
0:31 this is the song i want to hear on my death bed
The strings quartet legit sounds so good
Love it. Only problem is its missing one version: the cough syrup fueled version were assaulted with towards the end of the third Oscar special
Also the one from the second Oscer where Tim sings it in front of W.C. Fields
To anyone familiar, “Oscar Fever” reminds me of “Wrote For Luck” by the Happy Mondays. Tim is Shaun and Gregg could be Bez…
Can't wait for the Oscar special this year. Im gonna buy a month of hei so I can catch up on the seadon the week before Oscar has his big night
Thank you so much for making this.
Holy shit they have the drummer from Tom Goes to the Mayor
Larouix is a vibe
When Laroux kicks in... My ass = on board.
I swear to god I thought “whoOoo will the winners be??” at 6:54 was going to just repeat like 10 more times in the normal T&E fashion.

You could hire the orchestra and singers that travel the world to perform “Les Miserables” and it still wouldn’t feel any different 😂😅
Love how every Oscar special is basically three hours of Tim and Gregg just barely keeping from breaking.
12:31 is gorgeous
5:35 thank you Bobby Valli! 😅
this must be heavens light
This is really the only song that anybody needs to listen to.

After a 1 year absence im praying amatocon starts with oscer fever
Who will the winners be? Who will the winners be?

Omg I just noticed that Axiom had a Snark tuner on his guitar. They’ve literally thought of everything.
