Finally got the simplex ultra for birthday and had first go on Saturday. Really old manor (listed in doomsday book) about 12 acres to search and oh my god it must have been a shoot at some point as found so many shotgun shells just the brass bit so every time thought COIN! only to be dissapointed stopped digging them in the end as all would register 4 and jump around to 19/20's. Still not really sure how to use it but definitely enjoyed it which was main concern.
Great video Adam. The jigsaw map brooch is amazing.
The recorded soundbite for the Nokta Simplex Plus had screaming seagulls and ducks, the newer Nokta Simplex Ultra is improved with a dog squeak toy sound. Always throw the beaver tails and bottle caps back on the ground where you found them so as not to ruin the fun for the next detectorist.
I quite like the tones personally. And as I'm the only detectorist allowed on this land the next detectorist will be...me 😅
Be good to see what the legend picks up on that virgin land maybe a video for the future😁

Without seeing your location it will be difficult.
Try lowering the sensitivity a bit and make sure you ground balance the machine. See if that helps 👍

I still dont really understand what depth settings is, if it does push the device to hit deepet targets or what, the instructions on manual does give many clues.
It adjusts the field to favour the deeper end of the range. You may miss or ignore shallower targets in that mode 👍
Hello thanks, i am extremely sorry but i still dont get it, what you mean by adjust the field? I understand that i may miss shallow targets but are you telling me that this option is some kind of second sensitiviy that give more "power"? The user manual does not say much about it.
OK...so on M you'll pick up pretty much everything.
On L you'll only get signal response from shallow targets.
On H you'll only get signal response from deep targets (possibly whispy responses on shallow targets depending on the target, environment etc.).
Basically if you want to hunt all depths use M. If you don't want to dig deep use L and if you're only interested in the deep stuff use H.
It's like notch discrimination but for depth 👍

The Ultra is definitely a significant upgrade from The Simplex+. More settings and adjustments and great performance 😊👍
Nokta simplex ultra or quest q 35 ?
I haven't used the Q35 but I can highly recommend the Ultra 👍

@@DTEKTSUSSEX you must plat the setting în your Ultra, change a little bit all to see what is better for the detector.
The 24cm elliptical is already available. No news yet on others but the machine hasn't been out long.
