@@takkmckinleyimstraightenup2619 Half true. It's not like China's economy is collapsing. Western media always try to make out the sky is falling in China, but this is far from the truth. Some western companies have left, but this will have zero impact (and vacuums will be filled). China also did a very smart thing - it allowed the housing bubble to collapse (instead of artificially propping it up). To call China's economy a "shit show" is hyperbole. China's doing a hell of a lot better than most European economies, especially Finland.

Karelian Pastry is pretty flavorless as is but you are supposed to put something on it.
Butter, egg butter, jam/jelly, marmalade etc.
You find almost everything in 3 languages, Finnish, Swedish and English, or at least public places and infrastructure like libraries, museums, information boards, transportation etc.
You don't put jelly on a karjalanpiirakka if you are a finn for sure!😮

That structure at 3:48 mark is Kamppi Chapel. It's 11.8 metres high and it is some kind of Lutheran building. It looks like a giant tea/coffee cup.
It's completely silent place inside the busy town center. You can worship and praise God even in the busy hours im complete silence.

Happy New Year! Thank you for this great video! I think I could share something as a Chinese student who studied in Finland for two years. I did my master's degree at Aalto University (one of the best in Finland) and graduated last year. I really love basically everything there! Except for the fact that locals don't seem to welcome foreigners - I found it very hard to make friends with them and I failed to find a job basically because I couldn't speak Finnish (which is impossible to learn well within two years). If I got the chance, I would love to go back there and visit - everything in this video looks so familiar to me and I miss Helsinki so much!

I was in Finland during summer a few years ago and the weather was great-not too hot. Visiting a nordic country in winter is just too cold. At the moment, Australia is about 70°F. I would go there right now instead of going north.
Winter is the best time in Finland. It is a winter wonderland. Of course, if you do not like the snow and snow related activities, it is not for you.
Travelling in cold weather is harder even if you like snow and winter activities. Having to catch trains and airplanes and moving from place to place in cold weather will quickly wear you down unless you are super human

You aren't supposed to eat it like, that but warm with melted butter or a mixture of chopped egg and butter on top. homemade comes straight from the oven brushed over with melted butter and chopped egg, will taste the best.
