I had the same problem when I was planning to go on the trams and had to take the cable car up and hike down as on the way back the cable cars had been shut down for the day because of "bad weather"

Yes, the cable cars were shut on this day too, adding to the queue for the tram

It's years since I went there I had forgotten it was cable hauled at the top. Nice to see the old Morris making it up there. I bet you needed that ice cream even though windy it would be a warm walk

I've been a few times over the last few years and never tire of it, but this was the first time we've walked up. Certainly ready for the ice cream!
