Hey - it's great that you were able to have camp fires on your canoe trip. The French River is such a beautiful area! Thanks for sharing - love the drone footage.
Cabin Life with Glenn & Maureen thanks so much for watching. Yes. We were very happy the ban lifted. I’m new to the drone. The footage you can get with it is amazing!
I could tell from the opening shot that your cat was very happy that you packed him for the canoe adventure! But, for real, it looks like a cool adventure. Nothing like roughing it for a few days away from civilization.
What a great way to spend 8 days! The drone footage and sunrise were terrific! The pouch food didn't look too bad for camping food! Glad you guys had a good time on the trip!
Chip this trip was amazing. The sky out there was something else. That food was a great addition to mountain house . It was nice to eat hot wing wraps and burger wrap. (The one you saw). We really enjoyed them. I thought the drone footage really brought the video to the next level. I appreciate you watching!
Thank you for your support and I supported you back man I miss my canoeing days I had an old aluminum canoe my grandpa gave me year's ago unfortunately it got stolen man this video brings back memories
Hey pal. Thanks for stopping by and watching. I appreciate the support. Bummer about your canoe getting stolen. Check online. You can find some really nice cheap ones on there. 100 or 200 bucks and youll find something. Have a good one!
It was an amazing trip. I rushed to go through footage to get this first part out. I can’t wait to go through the rest of the footage this week. Prob be 2 more parts. A 6 day trip is no joke. Did you pack all of your water or filter it?
We worked with an outfitter but we used our own canoe. We brought 5-gallons of water and filtered the rest. We had a cooler for the first two days and then freeze-packed food. It was an excellent trip!
Awesome man, I'm really enjoying so far.. This vid ended at site #800 I totally recognize it! So far you guys are following the same route I took my first year. I didnt get to go this year so thank you for this taste of my favorite place on Earth!
Hahaha that is so cool. Yep, it was site 800. We paddled all day to get there. We weren’t thrilled when we saw it.... hahahaha This is the second time I’ve been there. I loved it so much. Beautiful place. Thanks for watching!
Haha thanks for watching! Part 2 will go live Sunday. I hope you enjoyed the video. I sure enjoyed the trip. It was fantastic. We didn’t see people for about 4 days out there.
Great video - looking forward to Part 2! We stayed on site #702 in 2017, so your video brought back great memories. Your drone footage and photography are awesome! I'm guessing you portaged into Black Bay and headed to #800 for your third night? Did you catch any tasty fish for eating, or all catch/release during your trip? There were lots of uncontrolled forest fires raging near the French this summer - you must have gone before they closed the park - they had to evacuate everyone from there at one point, visibility from the smoke was almost nil...
Colette descent thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate the compliment! Yep. The site you saw us pull up to at the end of the video was 800. We did portage to get there. We didn’t cook any fish. We released everything for this trip. The fires were insane this year. We just got back from the trip a few days ago. The burn ban was lifted the day before we got there. We were going regardless of the ban. Originally we wanted to do a loop and go by fox island but that whole section of the park burned up.... It was a close call for not being able to go here due to fire but our fall back plan was Algonquin Park. A trip was happening... hahaha just wasn’t sure where. I typically post every Sunday. Part 2 will be out next week on Sunday. It may be 3 parts. I have so much good footage!
Man I would love to take my canoe out and go camping for 2 or 3 days maybe even a week but I've got to repair it first got in some high water and went over a log and put a pretty good hole in the bottom
hahaha thats funny. Its the DJI Mavic Air. Love it!! Wasnt cheap I must say but if you wanna play you gotta pay..... hahaha I really appreciate the compliment and Im glad you watched the video. Thanks for stopping by!
It was awesome! I want a drone! I don't know how you did that globe pic! Was the pic in the canoe from a regular camera? or your drone sitting in the canoe? It was a cool pic too!
another great spot to be! you guys are funny, makes for good entertainment! if you want to see some big water my "mississippi headwaters video episode 4" i cross lake winnibigoshish which was a 6 mile straight across run. i took a cool video when im out in the middle where there is nothing around. but i agree, open water paddling is crap
Jay this trip was sick! So much happened. I can’t wait to go back! Haha glad you had some laughs. I appreciate the input. I try to get some of our personalities across. Dude I’ll def check that out! Was it sketchy? Get nervous out there???
@@NYZOutdoors as you will see in the video i was cranky after a campsite i tried and didnt like so i kinda had the what ever mindset at that point. luckily the lake had no wind so i couldnt have had a better time to cross. i am hopeful the lake is just as kind this june when i head through again! i did hear a horror story from a resort owner about 2 canoes that tried to cross. started out really calm and as they neared half way or so 30 mph winds kicked up and whipped up the lake really bad. 1 canoe capsized 4 miles from shore. luckily someone, somehow knew it happened and called ems to pick them up. both survived. but man it made me think... 4 miles from shore in waves... you couldnt even see shore from that perspective....
Ya...... Total bummer honestly... I get it I suppose because people ruin it by acting disrespectful all the time....Part of life. Same thing with leaving garbage all over the place. All it does is create more rules and make more spots off limits...

Ryan Hampson haha just went and watched it. Hahaha ya. Sorry pal. We have stupid names and twists on everything.... You are going to love this place. It’s absolutely incredible.
Ryan Hampson if I were to give any advice I would seriously recommend getting down towards the bottom. It’s a diff world down there. You’re missing out if you don’t.
