Lately I've been skipping foundation and just go in with elf halo glow in a deeper shade with cerave moisturizer to help thin it out and then nyx bare w me concealer under my eyes this looks so natural! Thanks for your recommendations Em !

If you mix the dewy and regular versions of the Wet n Wild foundations, I swear it's the best of both worlds. I can go 16 hours with that combo and skin still looks amazing.
I have tried that too and I agree it is beautiful mixing the two.
Also the Wet and Wild photofocus stick foundation is a great one!😘
I love, love the Milani no pore zone mattifying primer. I am amazed at how it makes your large pores disappear. It really blurs and controls your oily skin. It feels silky on your skin. I just press it into my skin. I do not massage or rub it into my skin. And it is like $11 at Walmart.

May I recommend the Hada Labo UV White gel (if you can tolerate alcohol in products)? It’s a sunscreen (marketed as a primer/ moisturizer/ SPF), but the best primer I’ve ever used.
Good morning Emily! I just wanted to tell you that I've been loving the Laura Geller baked bronze and blush. I picked it up on your recommendation and I loved it so much that I grabbed a few other colors while they were having their recent sale. They are all absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for reminding us about this fantastic brand. I feel like Laura Geller had its moment in the RUclips spotlight but since then has faded, and it's a shame. Their blushes and face products are just so good!

I have normal to dry skin and my favourite primer is actually just Nivea. I apply that to my cheeks, chin and forehead, avoiding the T-zone.
Then I apply Covergirl clean liquid foundation (it’s my new fave!) and I set it with the CG smoothers powder. This is the BEST combo for my skin. I look fresh all day, my skin looks and feels soft and blurred and it’s all affordable! Highly recommend to those who have similar skin to me.

I just rediscovered the Loreal Freshwear foundation and it’s my favorite now. I like the Loreal Serum foundation, but I find it to be difficult to pair with primers. The wrong primer under that one makes my skin look leathery and makeup-y. No such problem with the Freshwear-it just looks good no matter what. I also still love the Neutrogena stick concealer-it’s really creamy and so easy to apply.

I really enjoy your videos! You have a beautiful normal skin that’s probably why most of the products …..foundations etc….work for you. My skin is dry and I have some rosacea so the liquid foundations that work for me are rare…..! Still I keep trying to find the ONE….I tried the Wet & Wild focus and for me it was one of the worst foundations I’ve tried and the smell was awful, like putting latex paint on my face! Wow! Anyway, It doesn’t stop me from watching your videos , your energy is inspiring!

Love your videos especially drug store makeup. My biggest issue is finding foundations in cool shades. I have Estee Lauder in Fresco 2C3 that I wear for special occasions but I wear drug store for every day. I just can't seem to find the right shades, any suggestions? I should probably mention I'm in my late 60's.

I just bought the elf loose powder in the light pink, I like it so far, any thoughts on that powder? I have mature skin.
You should try different makeup looks with all the palettes you have because you always use this shadow one and it's so boring now. You have so much makeup, try something new. It actually doesn't look very nice. It's not blended well and it's so dark. We still love you Emily but do a new look.

Hi Emily! You truly are my go to for drug store makeup. Do any of these foundations compare or are similar to the Mac Studio Radiant Face and Body foundation? That's what I presently use but it's just sooooo expensive. Thank you :)

For me, my HG setting powder is actually Elf Halo Glow Setting Powder. It’s so finely milled that it’s untraceable on the face. It has a gentle glow/sheen. AND it actually sets the makeup! It also comes in different shades. I mean, what more do you need?
I second this! I use the light pink to set under my eyes, and it's so brightening without being a lighter color, if that makes sense. I use another shade on the rest of my face and it's perfection. It replaced my HG Too Faced Peach Perfect when it was discontinued. ❤
Does it work good for oily skin?
@@katiehenry7 hmm I have combo skin and it works great for me. But there are a few RUclipsrs that I follow who have oil skin and love it too!
Might pick it up! I mix powders all the time sounds like it's something to have in the stable. If it's not mattifying enough I'll layer. Would love something with just a bit of glow to replace Prep Set + Glow. Yeah I got Hourglass powders but the obvious mica/microgliter flecks drive me nuts. Here's hoping.

I use the Maybelline perfector as my foundation with the Nyx Bare with Me concealer and the Rimmel stay matte powder and it lasts ALL day and looks fabulous 👌🏻

First, I am so happy to hear that your dad is out of the hospital and doing better. I did ask for prayers for all of you on my FB page and just updated everyone who prayed for you guys. Our dads are such special people. The 8th anniversary of losing my dad is coming up on October 4th. He was my Hero. I'm really happy your Hero is much improved!! Secondly, what a great line-up of products. I'm normal to dry, and the Wet 'n' Wild dewy Photo Focus is a fave of mine. I love the Kosas cloud set and have the Breezy shade. I've been interested in the Airy shade, but I will try the Maybelline alternative, instead! e.l.f. Camo hydrating concealer is a work horse. It's amazing how little you need.

Is primer necessary? Does it really make foundation last longer? Most foundations say long wear anyway. Also do u have to let primer dry before applying foundation?

As a migraine sufferer I'm going to pass on a little info. You can use a cocktail of meds together for better results. First is your prescribed migraine med. If you don't have one or you ran out, you can use Aleve, diclofenac, Advil, or anything else in that class of drugs. Second is Tylenol. Last is benadryl. I've had this cocktail in the hospital. That's the rescue. Now for a more preventive measure. Add magnesium to your supplement routine. You can't get too much. Anytime you feel pain of any sort take some magnesium. Stubbed your toe? Magnesium. Dishwasher attack to the shin? Magnesium. Starting to feel that heaviness, I associate with a migraine, coming on? Magnesium. Every single one of us is magnesium deficient.
Maybe I got a dud, but I had to toss the Hard Candy primer. It made any foundation I used look patchy and it caused foundation to collect in my pores so I had little dots on my face. I'm just not a fan. It also had a really slimy, yet sticky texture. Nothing about it made me think smoothing.
Good morning, Em! Great helpful video, as always! I wanted to recommend a super cheap foundation for you to review--I don't think you've done this yet, anyway! It's Believe Beauty foundation from Dollar General. Holy cow! I ran out of my Charlotte Tilbury foundation and money was tight, and I remember someone on YT saying Believe was good. It's dang near a dupe, no kidding! Give it a try, and thanks for your video!
