yeah, as a Chinese… and an introvert, I find our shop service kinda intimidating as well. They always follow you around and try to help and give advise. But I am pretty opinionated and introvert. So I feel uncomfortable when sales staff follows me around. But they have no malice for sure. They just want to make a sale.
@@PixieElixir I totally share the same feeling with u. In Japan, salespersons in many shops especially in some malls are passionative and sometimes it's embrassing to have people followed and ask many times about how they can help u while u just wanna look around.
During the national holiday all the people who are from other provinces are coming to Beijing to visit and most of them are from small cities who don’t see foreigners that often.
The quality of the video and audio, the editing, the pace and flow of the subject matter, and the conversational ability to narrate real life travels in foreign environments are all extraordinary. You were apparently born to do these things and it warms my heart that you found such a path in your life at such a young age. Many of us never realize purpose and live our entire lives of repetitive process. Please remember to rest and take breaks when you need to. Superb content that we can all learn things from. ryan!! i went to beijing this summer and it was so amazing and seeing ur perspective made me cherish my times in bejing more! I DO HAVE TO SAY visit chengdu if you go back to china!! they has so many trendy malls and super good hotpot and foods and less touristy things but you will be able to see the CUTEST pandas there!! I had so much fun in chengdu and you should definitely visit china and explore because each place is so different and its so nice and cheap!! THIS VIDEO WAS A 10/10 blessed with 47 minutes
38:57 omg not only did you have almost the same itinerary as me (btw the little alleys you meant are called Hutongs), that guy in the back with the black shirt was actually my tour guide for the mutianyu Great Wall and we ate in that restaurant as well, what are the chances! Luckily, there were no crowds for me as we went in the height of summer, so we could take the toboggan and the wall was very empty and quiet. But I feel you with the screaming, at some point youre just overstimulated and your feet are hurting 🥲

BJ is more about history and yes security is stricter since it’s the capital. I think you’ll find SZ very cool , it’s the most advanced city , full of young ppl., fashion, food choices , nightlife , energy etc. And if you like cameras & gadgets , there are entire mkts focused just on that. DJI ( the famous drone company ) came out with a new camera/video - Osmo Action 5 Pro US350 ( around ). They make really really good stuff. Enjoy your China trip. the golden week is THE CRAZIEST week in China. avoid it at all cost for quality and calm travel time lol. it can be exhausting.
beijing also has a different vibe. many of my friends love shanghai more than beijing, because they feel more inclusiveness. they would go back to shanghai again and again exploring the city
shenzhen is also great if you like high-tech stuff (it's China's bay area) and cool skyscrapers / skyline
btw for the staring thing, the traveling time also makes a difference. locals are more used to foreigners but it's the golden week and you're surrounded by also visitors from cities in china less exposed to foreigners. it should be much better if you come at a different time. but not sure if it would be the same as shanghai. i heard many feel shanghai is more friendly to international travelers overall

Golden Week is actually the busiest time for tourism in China, cuz a lot of people from all over the country spend their week doing tourist-y things like going to the Great Wall, Forbidden Palace, Beijing zoo, etc... It's literally the most crowded time to visit those places out of the year!! Thanks Ryan for being courageous and being in huge crowds to bring us this vlog!!
