This is literally exactly what I’ve been looking for. This is 40’s Marilyn and Rita Hayworth hair. I’ve been doing it this way but my top pin curls face to the side instead of forwards. I feel like forwards will give it that “dent” towards the front to make it more accurate. How did you figure out how to do it like this? I’d love a Rita Hayworth tutorial. Your videos are very accurate and that’s important!!!
Thank you! Honestly is a lot of trial and error since there’s not a lot of information on how to set the hair like them other than a few old photos. Also a lot of tutorials that aren’t very helpful and that leads to a dead end. I am hoping to create a Rita worthy hair set soon but not until I have accurate results. If you can find pictures of them with their hair in the pincurls that’s a great help to report their look but it’s tough to find. I think over directing standing pincurl are the ticket for the Rita dent in the bang 🤞
Thank you for sharing this with us! Your tutorials are really helpful! I'm glad I found your channel! I'm also glad that you decided to share your knowledge with us. I know lots of people would rather gatekeep. Much appreciated!
You really captured MM’s old Hollywood glamorous hairstyle & look!! I can’t get enough of watching your amazing videos. Your beautiful, well modulated voice is so soothing & mesmerizing. All your content is captivating & so pleasurable to watch
Im so glad I found your videos ! I've been looking for a concise yet thorough tutorial on these styles for different hollywood stars from back in the day... so these are perfect 😊🤘🏻
I’m loving all your hair styling videos!🥰 I found you on Instagram and ever since then I’ve been binge watching your videos. I just got into the vintage look and trying to build up my style and your videos are so simple to follow. In fact, I just ordered a bunch of products that you recommended on your Instagram highlights. Your content is absolutely amazing so keep up the good work!!❤️👏🏼
So I just use a slight amount and rub it between my hands just to make them tacky and I think it makes the hair more pliable helps with frizz and adds shine

Wow look exactly like her 😍😍😍
Thank you! It’s one of my favorite styles to recreate ❤️
I'd love to imitate the Marilyn haircut of that period!!! You make it seems so easy but I don't know if I'm able to do it...
You never know till you try!
No matter what setting pattern you use, it always brushes out into Veronica Lake.
Very pretty 😀
What pomade did you use thank you
What do you put in your hair right after you get out of shower? Just the setting spray? My hair is frizzy at the bang section.
I just use setting lotion but my hair I straight but you could try a mouse
hi! would this technique work with pillow rollers/foam rollers? love ur videos ❤
Yes! Absolutely! I love pillow rollers too. Let me know how it turns out!
Can you do a tutorial on Marylin hairstyle when she was doing "The misfits"?
