So far, most helpful ikea sink video I've seen! The clips were driving me crazy, so I'm grateful for the tip. I prefer my instructions in words versus pictures, so the ikea instructions frustrate me (hence why I'm googling videos)! I appreciate that you get to the point and your camera work is 👌. Nice job!!
Did you use any sort of silicone or plumbing adhesive around the seal at the drain? I did not on initial install and everything was fine for about two years. But now it seems to have worked a little loose and has a little leak.
@@UltimateDIY Ok, thanks for the response. I ended up cleaning it out (smelled absolutely awful) and tightened it all back up and seems fine for now.. I have a feeling silicone or putty would help cement it all together so it doesn't work loose.
@@UltimateDIY thanks a lot! I gathered as much from the instructions but had to be sure, as I am going to have it precut by the manufacturer, and Ikea won't confirm
...9 per instructions! I get it, it's two different methods. In theory, you should get to the same result, that is: sink 56 x 53 -> hole 55 x 52, but your/Ikea process allows you to inherently take into account any difference in the actual dimensions of each sink.
I have the same sink, there is just one problem. The side of hose that goes into wall is lose I installed the black grommet same as you. What can be the problem?

Thanks and welcome!
Thank you very much, this video was very helpful. I will watch it again tomorrow while installing it... cheers
Welcome!
Gracias !! Compré exactamente lo mismo en ikea y no sabía bien cómo instalar todo. Muchas gracias desde Chile 🇨🇱
Welcome!
What is the width (or depth rather) of the countertop?
Mine is 60 cm and I'm afraid this sink will not be suitable for me.
Mine is 63.5, so maybe if you are careful how you position it, you might be able to use it, I guess.
Good information!I didn’t know the clips can be rotated
Glad I could help!

No, I did not use any type of adhesive. No proble until now.

It-s possible
Thanks for taking the effort making this video it is very helpful 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!

Can you install it undermount?
I do not know.
Hi, could you tell me the exact dimensions of the hole you have cut to insert the sink? Is 55 x 52 cm correct? Thank you!!
Hi. The hole is 1cm smaller on the whole contour of the sink.
@@UltimateDIY thanks a lot! I gathered as much from the instructions but had to be sure, as I am going to have it precut by the manufacturer, and Ikea won't confirm
Not possible for me to confirm either, as I did not make the cut by measuring, but by marking.

If the outside of the sink is 56x53, the hole I made would have been about 54x51. I took 1 cm on each side.

Is the tube in your wall standard size? For me it fit perfectly.
@@UltimateDIY yes, it's standard. Just that two parts from IKEA don't fit well
Maybe you are not assembling something properly. Really hard to guess without seing myself.
@@UltimateDIYit worked up fine, I just thought that the hose should be much tighter than it is. Thanks for help 🎉
Ah, ok. Great to hear ✌🏻
Thanks. The terrible instructions that come from IKEA is virtually impossible to understand. Even the official IKEA video is just as bad if not worse.
Glad I could help!
