So many gorgeous 60s/70s patterns! What a great estate sale! That kind of pastel neon swirly fabric, and the the orange-y floral and butterfly fabric are both awesome!
Your channel was recommended and I really enjoy your videos. When I heard your view on respecting the estate items and not to judge, I definitely needed to subscribe. Looking forward to watching more
Hi Nikki! New to your channel and have been binge watching your thrift and styling videos since I found you! First comment and it's mainly because I wanted to tell you that I really appreciated your sensitivity to the estate sale situation. Being cognizant of what could be a very difficult time for the family or individual(s) hosting the sale made me like you even more. Proves you've got a kind heart. Thank you. Anyway, love your videos and fun sense of style. Funny side note: I'm kinda scared that you're calling some things "vintage" that I remember wearing... lol! Guess I'm now off the age that stuff from the 80s is considered vintage. Ha! 🤣🤣
Aww thank you kindly for that ☺ estate sales are something many of us go through at some point and in my own experience it is a mixed bag of emotions that requires sensitivity. As far as the term "vintage" I feel ya there! 😅 I recently found a stash of my clothes from the 90s that is all considered vintage now. Wait until our favorite songs from that time start playing on the "classic rock" or "oldies" stations 😬🤣
@@NikkiTerryStyle Agreed and I really appreciated your attention to that point. So, thank you again. Yes, I'm seeing a lot of things I wore back in the day and can only wave my "vintage" flag with pride. Hey, I survived the 80s and the 90s. That's saying something! Here's to big hair bands on the "oldies" list... lol!
💟 Really love your hair girl...I also have bangs & love them!!! Always look forward to whatever adventures you come up with..... & you always come up with a fun & friendly video, so thank you! 💟💜💟
Being a plus-sized gal myself, I was so envious...such great, fun patterns/clothes.,.hard to find the higher size range. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the rattan purse...I've been on the hunt for one all summer. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻 😃
I know, you are so right about plus size vintage clothing! I considered picking them up for resale online because I know how hard it is to find those pieces in plus sizes. Good luck finding your rattan bag! 🙌 I'll send some good thrifting vibes your way 😉
Awww, the Nag's Head shirt. That's where my husband and I went with some friends on our first vacation when we were dating ....in 1991! Also a moment of appreciation for the fantastic style of the person whose clothes were in the estate sale. The colors and patterns were so wonderful.
Aw how lovely! The shirt was probably originally sold at that same time and place too! I am actually getting married near there next spring 🥰 it's so beautiful there!
I love your videos! I don’t do thrifting because I don’t know if New Jersey has good ones and i wish I could have someone who I could go with. But anyway lots of blessings. Looking forward for the next videos!
Hi Elizabeth! I usually find thrift stores by looking on Google reviews and photos. You can usually tell what kind of donations they get from photos of the furniture (which is easier to see in the photos than clothing). For vintage hunting, I tend to have better luck in more rural areas than in city centers. For high-end items, I'll look for the country club neighborhoods or thrift stores that are hospital charity or Auxiliary fundraisers. You could check local Facebook groups or MeetUp groups for other thrifters, or to get recommendations! Or do what I often do and film yourself thrifting so you can share it with others 😅 people will "thrift with you" live on Instagram, even if you just share photos of your finds, and it's actually really fun! 😉💓 glad you're here!!
I can't wait for your styling video. I'm not always sure how to wear t-shirts besides with jeans. That estate sale had so many neat button up shirts. How fun!
Oh really? That's too bad. Sometimes I will go on the last day of the sale because they will deeply discount things just to clear out. Of course everything has been picked over, but usually I figure most people are not really looking for the same stuff as me 😅 I have a thrifter's taste lol Anyway, you could try that some time if you haven't already! 🙃
Do things really go to landfill from an estate sale? Or would they go to thrift stores, first? I'm feeling conflicted about buying stuff specifically to resell, thinking of all the people who really depend on thrift stores to get by. That estate sale was the bomb! Love your excitement. Great finds, Nikki!! Ps. Love seeing you wearing"our" Sting top at beginning of the video. (I call anything yellow and black Sting! 😂🤣)
Ok - I asked a friend who works estate sales, and she said most leftover items do get donated or left for the family to do whatever they wish (she thinks individuals probably do throw out a lot at that point).
Really? I feel like I walked that back sufficiently 🤔 I definitely didn't mean to make any assumptions about how it was used by the estate owner or anything ("I don't know what this was really used for"); none of my business. I was speculating about the item though, and someone actually commented that it is a box for handkerchiefs! (I pinned the comment & everything.) Hmm I'll have to think about this for any future estate sale videos... I definitely don't want to be disrespectful.
@@NikkiTerryStyle Hey girl Hey. The weed stash comment made me laugh! You are hilarious and amazing! I loved the Vintage Graphic tees, the fabric, and the wicker bag. My fave find was the Lee Jeans. They fit like a dream.

I'm with ya, I'm such a jeans person it's definitely my go-to! 😅 But I am having fun coming up with different ideas for styling these tees!
amazing fabric finds, so jealous!
man alive! The fabric! The estate sales here in LA are s overpriced I never attend!

Also super glad you got that nags head t!!
I would love to buy that art nouveau box! What a cool find!!!!
Ooh do you collect art nouveau? 😊 any thoughts on what it is originally used for? I still think it's a cigarette or cigar box... 🤔

Ah ok phew. I was worried I had been hurtful. 😬 weed, handkerchiefs, neither are my thing 😅 maybe I can use it for postcards and stamps!
