My favorite RW moment…. He blows his knee out early in the season and then makes it back for the Superbowl. Defends Michael Irvin on a play hits the ground then bounces back up and jumps while pointing at his knee. At the time I was a Cowboys fan but I thought WOW that dude is a freak of nature.
Rod the God? WTF is WRONG with you? SMH..Arguably the DUMBEST thing I've heard in years..He was a football player, NOTHING more!! And to call him God is both DUMB and INSANE
Ran into Rod at a football practice in Castro Valley right after the Niners DESTROYED Green Bay w Kappernick. I was a little leary of Kap because he had a noticeable lack of "touch" on his passes. 100mph fastball was all you got. I asked him what his thoughts were. He said, "that kid is toast. He can't read a defense. And, this league is going to eat him up after an off-season of study." Sure enough...lol!!
The greatest to ever do it. Growing up in the bay area watching the Steelers I wanted to be him. Glad I got to meet him on multiple occasions, didn't care for his time on the ravens, 49ers and raiders lol
This was probably 6 or 8 years ago. I was living in West Lafayette, Indiana. It was a Friday night. I'm 5 minutes from my West Lafayette Walmart. And I need to make a run. It's around 10pm. There's a Purdue home game the next day. Walmart is pretty slow at the time. I'm walking up one of the main aisles and there's a guy walking toward me. I know this dude. But I can't figure out from where. I'm looking at him trying to figure out how I know him. And he's looking at me, in hindsight I realized, wondering if I'm gonna lose my shit and recognize him. I was on my way home and it hit me. Rod Woodson. He was in town to do the game with the B1G Network and probably staying at the hotel across the street from the Walmart. We passed each other within reach and I blew my chance. Damn.
Rod Woods on is why I chose #26 the next three years I was the fastest #60 guard in the conference maybe two people were faster than me LOL I still played cornerback or safety in practice sometimes.
i always wondered how the 94 steelers would have help up against the 49ers juggernaut. how much more resistance would they have been able to put up compared to the chargers who were a little lucky to be there
Whenever we play football outside when I was younger, I would always call myself Rod Woodson and back then I couldn’t really afford rather my dad couldn’t afford to get me a real football jersey because he was the only worker in the family, so I would buy white T-shirts and draw his number on it and put Woodson on the back, I did that every single time we played football outside. I love this guy he was a class act and a heavy hitter type game player.

Not to mention 2000 yard RB Jamal Lewis, All Pro All decade Middle Linebacker Ray Lewis, All Pro All decade Safety Ed Reed ... I think you missed a couple ...
@@demariomac7200 but he was transformational to that defense,he was the playcaller of the secondary and he had it all on lockdown which made Lew's job much more easy up front..Ed was a Baby at that point and time..i'll also add in Mike Mcrrary and Sam Adam's to the importance of that bowl.i'm completely right on this matter..Eric Weddle will completely back me up on the matter just ask him..theres your missed a few..defense win's championship's!..

My condolences to rob .. you can tell rob was raised by great parents/dad ..
Rod Woodson exemplified football perfection worth emulation.
Solid through out his whole career. Class act.

Rod The God 26 is my favorite Steeler of all time! Fort Wayne represent!!! Wish we would have won a Ring with him, he deserved it, he was the best

Rod Woodson is one of the greatest athletes ever: Elite Speed, great height, long arms, excellent vision, elite ball skills, great footwork.
great watching him play as a kid, and wish he was still on NFL network

Typically the ones who endure the most ass chewings turn out to be the best players.
