  • I went to check out some brand new flow trails that were recently added to the Ridgeway Recreation Area on Carters Lake in Elijay, GA. This was my first time ever riding here, and I have to say I was very impressed! I didn't even check out the other side of the park, which has two other tech downhill trails.
I highly recommend these to anyone looking to ride some great new trails in North Georgia! I will be returning as soon as I can to attempt the other trails, and even improve on my riding on the trails I did ride!

Great video! Just went there today after I saw a post on my local trail group about it. They seem to have one thing in common... FAST! There are some weird "landings" that seem to send you into trees / oncoming traffic, and I had to brake to get landings on a lot of the stuff it felt like. Great trails overall though! Bring your big-boy pants if you gonna ride the other black... big drops and a creek gap (easy, but i'm still always sketched by gaps /shrug)

heh.. wrote that before I finished the video. The two on big dog are the ones i meant.. landings are super short and steep. They need to stretch those out a bit I think.

Thanks for watching! Yeah I agree on some of those jumps need to be extended due to the speed you carry. I do need to get back up there someday and try those tougher trails! I don’t want to be alone when or if I try the gaps, Lol.

Thank you so much for filming this . That is so close to my house . I am definitely tidy this soon . Is there a dedicated climb trail back to the top? Maybe chair lift ? Bwhahahaha

You can take the trail smooth operator or Molla rolla back to the top on the flow side. At the Tech/DH trail side you can climb back up on the actual boat ramp road, or have someone shuttle you! The boat ramp is pretty steep though I must say.

Be careful out there. I road these trails last week and a big black bear was on molla rolla. I stopped about 30 yards from it and screamed at it. Luckily he had no interest in me.

@@thanopayne2172 that’s wild! I’ve never come across one while I’ve been out riding yet, but I’m sure it’ll happen one day. Good to hear there wasn’t an issue for you though! Thanks for watching.

Is the road still gravel and dirt to get there?

They did not re do the trails that were already there as far as I know. They just added a few trails across the boat ramp side. It all seemed to be paved when I came in!
