Your pack was super tiny and I was asking you a bunch of questions about how it was so small (probably get that a lot!). Didn't realise I was talking to a thru hiking celebrity at the time! Karen, Ayesha, Nicholas that I've seen so far. I found carrots book from one of Ayesha's post and your videos shortly after. Got me all pumped, I wanted to Hike the PCT this year but I had to push it one more year, can't wait to get back out there.
this is a prototype for the 'standard' pack back when were planning on launching with a simple and standard. different enclosure, extra zipper pocket, shoulder strap pockets, hip belt with integrated pockets. it is the same size as our 40L: 6"x11". i had a pretty bulky resupply so there is stuff strapped to the top which probably makes it seem larger here. neither of us were too psyched on making it with so many other things we're excited about developing so we've abandoned it for the time being. our basic plan is to start niche and cater to all the freak hikers out there before attempting to branch out since it's just the two of us and we're pretty busy as it is with the other things we have going on outside of pack making.

Hip belt on a Pa'lante pack? It looked larger than 40 liters as well. Can you address this in the next Q&A
