Heian City Story Gameplay Walkthrough #1 - First 30 minutes in-game experience, sped up by 300%. Learn how to play / basic's game mechanism.
Since this is the spiritual successor of Oh! Edo Towns, I tried to use the same strategy. By placing resident houses and farms near the city wall, and then the rest of the facilities in the middle.
It doesn't cost anything to move things around, so we don't have to worry about combo at the beginning. Especially since the land is limited and must be expanded first.
However, the only thing that important is, to make multiple combos, one of the facilities in each combo must be next to each other.

This is the past, so don't forget to add some touches of traditional culture! Features like temples and gaming halls can give your city a lot of personality, especially when arranged in harmony with the surrounding environment. You might end up attracting tourists to the town, who will move in if they like it enough.
It's not all fun and games in the mists of history. Sometimes ghost, demons, and other baddies will come to attack your city. You'll have to summon your own Guardian Spirits to banish the evil ones and keep your townsfolk safe. Consider your spirits' abilities and placement for the best effects - strategy is the key word!
With a whole host of land expansion options, facilities, and residents to collect and customize, it's never been easier to create a city that will go down in history.
