installing Msport logos on a non M car gives you an extra 30BHP
facts: I put a 6 speed knob on my 5 speed e36 now it's an m3
have you not seen that some cars come with m-sport stuff? its a package.
Or when you put m3 clutches into your car because the stock one is trash x3
I am so against putting M stuff on my 335, but that's just me.
Interior m stuff is fine for the most part but exterior is when it’s getting cringy.
For those who cannot pull it out: Get into the back seat, shift to 2 or 4 gear, get a good grab, fix your legs and pull as hard as you can! Becareful to dont hit your face!!!! :D

Just watched this and did the same knob switch on my new-to-me E91. Ended up opening the sunroof, sitting/standing on the center console with my head out the middle to finally manage to pull it off :D

Looks and performs a lot better than stock. Can't believe how long I put up with a worn stock shifter. I like the perforated leather better but it's all good.
Does it sit noticeably lower?
Crankshaft Motors totally man, really big difference compared to the stock , feels way more solid. And yes it does sit lower.
Cristiano Scibetta thanks. With the knob height being lower I might not be as tempted to change to a short shifter right away. Though the bushing does need some attention. Way too sloppy now.

I just accidentally head butted my centre mirror completely off when the gear knob finally came off
Hi mate, nice job. This knob is dissasemble. First need to peel off black glass table with gear numbers. Have to peel off from left side by very thick thing, cause in right side is a protruding pin. Under the table, which is mounted by double sided tape is torx screw. Then You will have two parts, skin, which can dye agin(I do like that) or pase new skin(better option, becasue there are very small peace of skin, and still used knob also new skin will be much more durable, than dyed skin) and second part which is plastic element glued by aluminium foil(to remove better is cut by wallpaper's knife). I remove aluminium foil and painted this part to balck piano, by black and hard clear varnish 5 times, after polish it.
Why I can't pull it like that when I pull i pull also my leather and can't separate leather and knob....
Are the ones from amazon the same as this ? And if not do you think there is a significant difference ?

Your putting an E46 gearshift knob on your e90?? Get the real Msport perforated looks way better
TG Lasers it’s on the new F30’s too not just the e46. I have the perforated on my new 135i and the leather isn’t as nice as this one.
When I pulled it out it smackes me in the face

I could honestly care less about people putting m badges on their cars. I used to own an e36 m3 and sold it and got an e90 328xi manual. I simply want to put this on because I love the feel of it
