John always supported the environment, and made it a priority in his commitments. It is a timely reminder that we also hold these gifts dear, and as such, must do all that we can to protect Mother Earth. We are a continuation of his commitment.

Miss knowing he is on this earth he loved and respected and fought for so much. Wonder at times how many and what songs we missed out on with his untimely death at such a young age.
There will never be a beautiful man like him! He touched my soul with his music! ❤️
It’s within John Denver’s music that I I find solace and take comfort during these troubling times.
Oh, how I miss him! I can only imagine what music he would have created, if he was still with us. A great conservationist! He wanted us all to learn about our wonderful planet! He tried to bring the world right to our living rooms with many TV specials. He wrote the most amazing songs about the beauty he found in nature and how it was his best friend. What a beloved entertainer, and gifted songwriter. I only wish I could have seen him, live, in concert. But I'm lucky to have videos to watch and sing along with. His music has always touched me. It helped me so much after my Mother's death, and later my Dad's. I was lucky enough to visit the John Denver Memorial Sanctuary, a beautiful, peaceful place, in Aspen, Colorado, with a stream running through it. It has the words of some of his songs and words from writers and poets, engraved on boulders. I could imagine him sitting there listening to the water flowing, the winds blowing, making Earth's own music. I miss his voice, and his amazing music.
I am wondering why he couldn't get a record deal in his later yrs. I know it depressed him.
He's still there! Energy love joy cannot be destroyed! He's still here! I look forward to meeting him one day!

John's 80th B-day is 2 months ahead of my 80th B-day. I too love to sing, but John did so much more with his talent than I did . We both have an strong calling to the mountains, and a draw to the Perseids . At least I can sing the songs that he wrote. That brings us even closer in my mind. My younger son chose as his natural talent - FISHING ! RIP my brother in spirit . Shalom, Shalom.
His music will live on, as well as the message of his sincere heart.

1997, the year John Denver died. I was a true fan and still am. He was a very special man. I had so much fun collecting all his music, attending some of his concerts, and developed such a love for everything John Denver. I'm sure you're in heaven singing with the angels, dear John.

I agree with you John Denver that being in the wilderness that I too felt listened to. Thank you for saying this. Mountains are strengthening for me. I was in China in 1983 I climbed Yellow Mountain early in the morning before daybreak. I know how it changed me. I was never the same again.
