Apollo Creed was one of the greatest antagonist in any movie and I'd go as far as to say he made Rocky. Very few antagonist are the almost very movie in a franchise and it was because Rocky needed him.
The more I watch Rocky the more I realise this is true. Apollo was amazing. Everything about him in those first two and then even his role in 3. Played to perfection by Mr Weathers.
