  • We visited Tennessee for the first time this month. Went to Dollywood and found this train running on a closed loop track (I had no idea this train was there, didn't do any research). The 20 minute train ride climbs up a hill surrounding the park makes a loop and returns. The big thing here is the steam whistle on engine...very loud and they like to blow that whistle (a lot)! And thank goodness! The sound echos up the valley almost endlessly. Dollywood is a fun place (they have thrill ride also) with bluegrass, gospel and country music at most of the venues. If you get the chance, relax , spend some time and visit Pigeon Forge Tennessee!

Really enjoyed the ride. This was the second day we were there. The engineer on that day was even better than this guy, but alas no camera...Thanks for the comment!

Just got back from my first visit to Pigeon Forge last night. Went with my fiance' and was my first trip. We did not go to Dollywood though. Stayed in Pigeon Forge and visited Gatlinburg. We did go to the Dixie Stampede while we were there.

I rode this Train when I was a Kid,but the Park was called Silver Dollar City then.It was before Dolly bought into the Park, and became a Co-Owner..

Cool.... only been to Tennessee once for almost 20 years ago & had the pleasure of visiting Dollywood & it was a real treat. Did they still have the Bald Eagle sanctuary ?

Yes. It's still there with several birds and new thrill rides on the opposite hill. A great attraction at a reasonable price!

I'm almost 💯 percent certain that that's 192's original white pass whistle
