you bashing in the solar empire made me sad lol. when i got the game i was so excited on playing the solar empire. lol ty for the review. brought back memories.
It's quite important to note that although KUJU had some say about the structure of BW1 by the time BW2 came about Nintendo owned the franchise lock stock and barrel, So the bias of protagonists, gameplay, tutorials were no longer in their hands, Of course the quirky nature of the game, Jokes , thinly veiled stereotypes was all KUJU.
I agree that a Wii U game would have been awesome. The Wii online modes were amazing (you could still experience it via homebrew). One mode was Coop (feel like campaign missions, but with a human ally), normal 1vs1 and exclusive campaign-style missions where one player defends and one player attacks! (after that the roles switch if a rematch is requested). So much fun.
This reminded me that the Wii U Gamepad is one of the best controllers ever made, and we will never have something like it again, and now I'm sad, and I wanna cry
Maybe Nintendo would bring Battalion Wars 1 and 2 back, but in a better remastered verison and have both of them in a 2-in-1 with a better game engine company package(just like the remastered verison of Spongebob Squarepants: Batle of the Bikini Bottom).
There are two(maybe 3) big things that I think prevented the series from taking off. First is genre/platform. The game is an action RTS/shooter released on the game cube and wii. By being locked to a console not known for military and shooter games it severely limited the reach the game could have and was a foreign concept to the audience it did have. The second is it's aesthetic and art style. While it's memorable and iconic to fans it's strange and childish to onlookers. It's too mature to be a children's game and too cartoony for adults. All this said I've never met a single person who owned these games that didn't love them. Something about the art and world is just engaging.
they should have made a 3rd BW and packaged it with MKWU like SSBU was packaged with Splatoon, just because it didn't sell well doesnt excuse Nintendo for giving up on a good game which should have been a staple like Splatoon is becoming...........
I'm a pro at Battalion wars 1, and I don't have a problem with the controls, mostly because I've been playing for almost 10 years and I've gotten used to the enemy AI. but anyhow, I love the gameplay on both games, my only complaint is that the player doesn't get a chance to use all the new units in the sequel, maybe some in 2 player, but yeah. I was dissapointed that the Solar empire campaign was first, cause they never give you Air units in those lvls..
Man I never realized how dumb the solar empire thing was. I don't remember what I used to think of that Solar empire dude's voice but now I can't stand it lmao. I remember sucking at the Iron Legion campaign's last mission but they were also my favorite. I loved seeing the Iron Legion army though, and it was interesting to see such rugged dudes on sandals be able to fuck so much shit up. Thanks for the review, really fun and under-talked game.
I know how to make you happier then akiera dies if they make a battalion wars 3 with actual competent ai AHHHH but I never could beat the last mission but you did not mention how the tundran battle station IS A GLASS TANK Lol also would snake would love the box tank
the cuts are fine i think a bigger problem is over explanation and being redundant you could say way more if stop going over something over and over like you did in the endslate. You said you didn't like the pause between breaths then pointed it out then explained that you didn't like it because you wanted to do more with the time, which is the same as saying you just don't like it, which you already said and then just a lot of repetition. great videos though hope to see more of you.
Battalion wars had really bad ai and janky controls. Bw2 on the other hand, had amazing controls, way better ai, and better missions. It improved on everything what the last one did wrong
Battalion wars 3 pls
Sorry but it's not going to happen because the studio moved on...
@@RKMCHere Move on to what?
@@darellarocho5729 It's been 1 year and you decided to reply to my comment? Ok...?

Aladdin maddin solar empire was so fun
As a fan who just said something on the first game review you did, I have to admit I loved this game and you opened my eyes to its good and bad
I have countless hours on both 1 and 2 I just wish they decided to continue the series
Battalion Wars 2 is the best one and my favorite in the series in my opinion
I do miss the Online game mode.
I was only ever able to play it once...
@@StingyCrew i know i’m two years late, but it’s still playable! there’s even a discord fairly active with people wanting to play
Snake would definately like that tank you made.
I may have sold me Wii, but I never sold Battalion Wars II.
Also, did you know about the Xylavanians dog sites in some of the Western Frontier missions?
Also, the other Xylavanians are the Iron Legion.
Box tank! Great video as always!

Great video as always. The cardboard tank weapon really had me laughing.
The go command is still in the game you just cant use it.
In the menu of the game you could click prologue that replays that tutorial level
Can't resist anime reference... KANEDA!

The sequel video we never knew we wanted and never truly deserved but It was so much fun when I saw this for the first time
How come this video has a whopping 11k views and only had 230 likes. This video was absolute quality and deserved more likes.
Zero punctuation runs with the premise of no pauses and it works great. dont let anyone keep you down son! :D
Nice to know about all those cool games i've never played, thanks
It was an old game, too. 2007.
Also, animal abuse
Why is it a problem that you play as a japanese soldier and not a usa one at the intro?
The Tutorial level can be replayed (selected in the menu)

There was a monster truck game on the game cube I played when I was a kid I would love to see it again I can't find any reviews of it
And all I remember of it was that it changed the weather and the npcs were little stick figures you could run over :p
the nostalgia rn
Funny thing is, A-Qira is actually voiced by a Japanese actor. As are the other Solar Empire commanders.
i have been voting the western frontier grunt into the smash ballot
i hope they add them
Isn't that the shamefur dispray guy
Evil from the past you mention are called themselves the IRON LEGION NOT OLD XLVANIA
you should make a video on how battalion wars 3 would work on the Nintendo Switch
I don't think there will ever be a Battalion Wars 3.
A fact that never ceases to sadden me

I can get you the ability to play online on battalion wars 2 again and you can use that footage if you want that means you would play with me
