Taylors always been more about articulation, than fancy chords. It sounds cool, I wish I could do it. Unfortunately I can't play with a pick, at ALL. 😆

@@DerrikRockne The live version of Wildest Dreams at the Grammy museum is done with an electric guitar, which totally changes the vibe of the song. Would be cool of you to do a quick listen of the song as it is, and then listen to the electric guitar acoustic. Might get the chanche to share some cool insight on how to extract the core of the song from a version, and change it's vibe and do a different version with another instrument. yeah i saw fan videos taken from iphones of this performance before the fully-produced version of the performance came out and she sounded the exact same!
It's amazing how this song can be broken down into parts like this. For casual listeners, the song itself is nice because of the melody and lyrics and the meaning. But hearing you dissect her performance, the conscious decision she makes in subtly increasing the intensity from verse to chorus and her overall dynamics - it really widens my perspective on her as an artist. Thank you! Looking forward to more of your content.
I’ve been trying to figure out how she played “Better Man” at the bluebird cafe for so long. But it doesn’t show the guitar itself enough for me to figure it out cause i don’t have the ear to know which chords she is playing. If you get a chance, a tutorial for that would be awesome. Also, I love the vids. Keep up the great work!
I think she plays the same chords of this song (in a higher key)...G D Em C with the nut (I hope it's correct, I'm not an english speaker) at 4/5 space (I believe)
I wish there was a guitar close-up of her acoustic rendition of Dancing with our Hands Tied! And Taylor's vocal has never been the strongest part of her skillset (although the delivery has always been on point) but recently she's never sounded better

@@emiliab9322 you missed a whole comment-war here a year ago😂 all the comments got deleted I guess. Anyway, I’m not mocking her guitar skills, I think that’s very shallow to do. However I find it a bit cringe to say “finally her guitar skills get some recognition” to such a big artist who has absolutely made it but clearly isn’t a guitar virtuoso in any way and thus doesn’t need to also be praised for outstanding guitar skills she doesn’t have. If she would be some unknown special guitarist it would be completely appropriate to say that she’s finally getting recognition. It’s just a bit pretentious to me now. Nothing wrong with using a capo, look at Tommy Emmanuel for example, but praising someone’s guitarskills based on open cowboy chords just doesn’t make that much sense.
I love taylor. She’s so talented and I’m glad that you gave credit where it’s due for her vocals and guitar playing skills.
