Great video. Thanks. Question: What is the reason players hide their primate choice between phases and then reveal? Why aren't players just allowed to buy whichever card they like? I'm sure there's a good reason but I'm not seeing what it might be.
It's less to do with what card they are purchasing; you hide your primate choice because you can pay resources to copy your neighbour's choice, and therefore what your neighbour chooses may influence what you choose, and if everyone is influenced by their neighbour's choice, people could wait to see what their neighbours are doing before they choose, and this creates a sticking point in the game. Therefore, do it blindly, and everyone just makes their choice and cannot change their mind or be influenced by their neighbours' choices. Hope this helps! R.R>
