Thank you PBK , very well done. How the battery was dessigned and housed on this Samsung model is a complete disater. No just the top cover to disconnect the battery cable and the flex cable going over the battery from the main board and then you can replace the battery. You don't need to take either board out.
The one thing missing was all the screws that you had to remove and indication of where all 17 of them are. The hint on the Battery removal and the nice shot of the battery was great! Would this work to fix water damage I ended up dropping in a puddle big accident I got it out straight away and dried it off with my jacket it worked perfect for awhile but now it's not truning on the screen stays black but you can here it vibrate
You can try taking it apart and disconnecting the battery cable, then drying out any liquid or moisture inside and then brushing off any corrosion around the connectors or chips with a tooth brush and put it back together and see if it will work. If not, you would either need a new screen or its possible the the chips on the board went bad somewhere. Usually with water damage, you want to avoid using the phone until its been taken apart and completely dried out/cleaned of corrosion so the phone wont short.
Hi, no its probably just a manufacturer identifier for which type of back housing with which type of flex for antenna is being installed on which region device etc.
I changed my screen and the LCD works but there is no backlight. I put back the old screen which worked but now there is no backlight. What issue could that be from?
Its possible you may have damaged or broken one of the resistors or small chips by the screen cable. Try also brushing off the connectors with a small brush and see if it helps.
My Issue is the screen went black when I dropped it and I noticed my phone still functions normaly the vibration still works well like normal but I noticed that it also isnt charging. The flex cable for the screen which connects to the main board is also the same flex cable which connects the sub board (charger port board) to the main board. You would need to take it apart and make sure that the flex cable did not get disconnected from the main board as well as the sub board.
