So you can connect an NVME PCIe x4 card on the side and an NVME drive. You can connect a USB storage device (external SSD, HDD, Flash, etc), and you can connect SATA. I'm assuming you can also, connect a RJ45 based storage unit such as a QNAP as well (Dual LAN would give you dedicated bandwidth to that QNAP NAS).
Very nice, I just ordered the 8GB version.

Great video. HW transcoding is working or does need external GPU for that purpuses?

How would you feel about a Windows based install of Jellyfin on the Zimaboard? I'm not incapable of following instructions to do a Linux based system, but Windows is much much more in my wheelhouse, and it would be nice to stay where my strengths are. I actually have a very specific use in mind - a Jellyfin server, along with a travel router, in my car, to make it the ultimate road trip vehicle. As such, media COULD be 1080p, but I would not at all be against restricting it to 720p if 1080p streaming to 2 or 3 devices simultaneously would be too demanding for a Windows based Zimaboard.

Does anyone know of a docker container that can find the largest files on a hard drive? or a program that runs on ubuntu that can do this.

Ok, I get the fact that you're showing off the SBC and doing the tutorial (valuable info btw), but the price of the Zima board is the deal breaker for me. That price can get you an 8GB stream book computer that is just as capable and has physical storage already connected.

If you want a true server though, this thing is great with it’s small footprint and silentness. I would say that for a real server usecase, people would prefer this over something with a screen. But for desktop usage, something with a screen would be nice

Would you still use the zimaboard instead of a raspberry pi 5?
