I made your recipe today but with lemons instead - I also substituted half the all purpose flour for almond flour & oat flour to make it a bit less naughty and it was so fluffy, light and delicious! Thank you for your recipe. It’s a great base to make alterations too!

I’m kinda skeptical all about the olive oil. Is it a strong taste? Does it taste nice? Or is it just for the texture f the cake? Or can you not taste it att all
Hi! This cake is purposely to taste all the beautiful flavors that extra virgin olive oil has, in a cake. It’s yum!
I once put extra virgin olive oil in a cake and it was not nice it was far too strong and it masked the flavour of the cake
I didn't have olive oil and used sunflower oil instead...also I substituted the orange for a lemon and it is delicious and flavorful.

No queda mucho sabor de aceite de oliva? O usas un aceite suave? yo una vez hice una torta con esgte aceite y me quedo muy fuerte el gusto, tuve que ambiar a aceite de girasol que es neutro en el sabor

Hi Maria! If it was dry it means that you over baked it or the oven temperature was too high. Since all ovens are different I’d suggest you invest in a portable thermometer (I use it too). Refer to my written post (link in description box above) for tips. Hope it helps.

This is baked death with a orange zest. Highly allergic to olive oil. Well, I'm going to wish for the sweat release of death if I'd ate that.
