They'd cop the wose side of my bad manic/depressive temper if they bothered me without a prearranged interview time. I guard my privacy. He sounded so tired and sleepy, but good natured. All that Lithium, drugs, booze, smokes must have worked...I don't mind booze, can tolerate smoking, get bored by street drugs but utterly detest Lithium and Bipolar Meds. They kill a passion, life becomes unbearable flat, dead shit boring. I refuse to take that crap. I found a smarter way to deal with Bipolar in a NATURAL , healthy way. It actually works but no doctors believe me, even I am walking proof it does. So I refuse to discuss Bipolar with them because all they fo is argue with me, when I know I'm right and onto something good. Ever since I started on my n own Bipokar healing strategy, my health generally, improved out of sight. But it does take a bit of effort, self control and you need to learn to c ope with being antisocial and people complaining you're 'different', but, hey, who'd want to be like them, anyway?

Since then he has been one of the best interviewers around, check out his interview with Slash last year or recent interviews with Graham Nash or Paul McCartney for some good examples.

His show in the late 90s and early 2000s had 15 - 20 million listeners each morning. He was massive especially in New York. People loved that he didn't do the typical robotic interviews with the same questions. Your point about self control is pointless as Slash for example regularly CHOSE to come on the show aswell as other rock celebrities and celebs in general. Slash willingly appeared for years and years on the show. Maybe you're up tight and PC programmed but that doesn't mean everyone else is.
