Those 610dt are great machines. We actually just received a used one with 36inch tracks . We traded a challenger mt 865e for it . We will use it for tillage grain cart and running our johndeere 1890 airseeder. Take care and stay safe!
Ive never heard anyone call it a 20 speed transmission. I just say the Cat TA-22 full power shift transmission. Transmission is very smooth and you should not feel it at all. Has it been calibrated yet? They calibrate them at the factory but after changing oil they sometimes need calibrated again. Dealer will have to do it as you need Cat ET.
Also a radar gun is an option. Tractor is already wired for it already so its plug and play and with it you can also set a slip alarm with it. A few years ago Versatile did a a factory installed GPS that was built by Raven but most Versatile dealers were selling other makes such as Trimble, Ag Leader and so on so they decided to just have an auto steer ready option with the steering valve factory installed and the end uses can decide what system he wants. Quite a few Green Stars being installed on these as well.
I'm guessing it needs calibration. We were told from the another farmer how his shifts and its identical. Will probably call them out to calibrate over the summer now that the Seeder is parked. Also.... keep doing what you do Mike. Love your videos
I've read before that they need calibrating done by the dealer. I never believed it until I heard it from you Mike. I find it hard to believe that these things aren't programmed with and adaptive shift strategy that allows them to calibrate automatically. I bought my 500 new in 2015, never had it calibrated, done two tranny oil changes, shifts like new.
That transmission you have is the same we have in our challenger my865b. They have ranges In the transmission snd that 4-5. 10 or 11 - 11 or 12 is alwAys a hard shift I don’t like it either but that’s just the way they are. They are solid transmissions though, always thought about going to the versatile Dtrack myself.
I’ll say one thing she’s beautiful most of the tractor companies have gone to a blasé Shade of whatever color they are this is like the old days when the colors were bright
I didn't hear if you still had a warranty left on it or anything but since it's a common Cummins engine have you ever thought about deleting it? I have read quite a bit on it and those Cummins are great engines to do a emissions delete on it.
Plenty of Quadtracs and delta tracks/tired versatiles around us. Guys running the versatiles biggest complaint seems to be that the cab is loud/cheaply built.
I haver driven one and most likely will not, but the cab seems kinda cheap to me? I spent most of my day in a tractor cab. My new fendt 828 gen6 i quite like.
I kinda agree. The cab seems alittle cheap, but a good ride. I'd love to add a fendt to the fleet. Like an 836 or 842. Would use it year round. It's on the list, just not quite ready for it
@@ronkeking97 they're not very common around here. I've only ever sat in one but I loved what I saw. Seemed like fantastic engineering and a company that worked with its consumers to develop a product. I fully expect to have one in the next few years.
why dont you do a recalibrate if thats might fix the problem ? That just sounds weird that you dont want to, what reason could you have - that makes any sense ?
It's not that we didn't want to. I had just heard about it when I posted the video. And we didn't want to stop during seeding. It will be recalibrated before harvest as it pulls our grain cart
She loves to pull. We had a couple of very minor issues with it this year (blown o-ring and an exhaust leak) but it’s still proving to be very reliable
Hahahaha! I had a hard time getting the right volume in the beginning. I'm a loud guy and my voice carries well, took me a while to find the right level to talk at with the phone at arms length, otherwise it sounds like I'm yelling at the neighbor
@@AxiomAcresYou did better then I would. I can imagine I wouldn't do to well filming myself, I'm no Clint Eastwood or tech genius haha That's a wicked cool tractor.
It is likely that we’ll chip it before seeding this year. I hate hauling the fn DEF all over hell’s half acre…. I’ve heard lots of guys chip the 570 up 10%. Way better fuel consumption, like 20% less per day. Which is a lot
Pretty shite jerking gearbox, it goes back 60 years when Fords select o speed did the same, you would have thought in all that time they would have sussed it out. The entrance door aint good either, step onto the second step, if you don't duck, it twats you on your forehead, sets you up for a grumpy day with a blinding headache to live with, that is if it hasnt knocked you unconscious, micky mouse probably designed the hydraulic filler along with exhaust fluid tank.

Honest review. Awesome tough tractor! Greetings from Portugal.
Pretty honest review and you even got the attention of Farmhand Mike Less- if anyone knows these tractors, it’s him!
Wish they put a C15 in it to go along with Cat transmission
Enjoyed your walk through. Very honest.

We've pretty much decided that we'll run it ad is and first sign of issues with the DEF and it'd getting deleted
Those two rough shifting gears just requires a recalibration.
Versatile the best tractor on earth on earth
Those shift points are probly going from low to high runing the sam gears but i dont know

Great video.I like the part about addind c.b or two way conections. we use cbs.
We used CB radios a long time ago, I went with UHF ones so we could have our own channels and better range out of them.
How close is the parts and service center? Will they give you a loaner if it goes down?
We can get parts in town, service is 25 miles, but we can get a loaner if she goes down. So far no major downtime.
Doesn't it have a rear hydraulic lift?
We didn’t get one with a 3 point hitch. Not really any value to us. We don’t do tile, and if we did we would get a pull type
so if you did it all over again when you buy it or go with a wheeled version
I really like the tracks, I would likely stick with them, but upgrade to the 36" tracks
LSW's

That is a huge tractor, how long is it?
I've never actually measured it overall, I paced it out once, it's a bit over 25 feet from nose to hitch
Nice looking tractor I don't know how I feel about the colors though lol
You don't have the radar in the tractor

We have 4 of them pulling K-Tech 33 yard scrapers. They are hogs. Other than the steps design is piss poor no compaints

You should change your profession or occupation
Lol. Change to what?

Chip it! Why you ask? Because more powwa

its, not it's
Kinda known for cheaper wiring and poorer cabs. Think the fuel economy is a bit less.
But a bit less money than other brands.
We haven’t had a single electrical issue, but the cab is definitely a bit louder, cheaper and less ergonomic
It is not like john deere and you have the right to fix it if you want it?
In Canada we have right to repair
Painted green and yellow and it look like a John Deere
