please be advised: this is an hugely important cautionary tale. this is the life i've lived for 71 years. due to birth defects and mental illness, i've been on pain and phych meds since i was a teenager. they seemed to help, but my authentic self died. i struggle minute by minute to endure the pain of withdrawl (i'm too old to be jonesing again), because i hope to meet myself before i die. you see, in my personal experience, when you get old and sick, you're a liability to pain doctors and shrinks, and they will drop you like a hot potato. please think twice before you go down that road of tears. much love, kathleen

They come off it’s a theatrical accessory. Chinchilla is her own artist but the two enjoy working together as they approach the work very similarly

I saw a REN interview yesterday where he said that Chinchilla was part of his prior management team and that how they met. They have several duets that you’ll enjoy.. and a couple of busking songs too. She has just released a new vid.. and her live version of her song ‘Fingers’ is a masterpiece. Great reaction.. Ren has woken me up from a long departure from listening to music! He is such an incredible artist/musician. It’s great to hear real talent. He must be taking the world by storm.
You need to get onto Ren rapping... Power, the hunger, genesis, losing it. You would enjoy all these... Oh and "how to be me" another with chinchilla.
Ever since I heard Hi Ren I've been obsessed with him. He has so many beautiful and great songs. A few days ago I heard 'Ren - Freckled Angels' for the first time and I've literally cried my eyes out. He dedicated this song to his best friend Joe who took his own life. I immediately had to think back to the past. In 2008 I lost my best friend. He suffered from severe depression and heard voices in his head. He fell on the wrong path at a very young age. Started stealing money for drugs. At the age of 16 he spent 6 months in a juvenile detention center. He then sought help, but the voices became too much for him. I last spoke to him a week before the end and he was completely changed and very calm, we spoke for hours, I knew he was recovering and the last thing we said was that we need to meet up again when he was feeling better because it was long ago. He committed suicide a week later on 07-24-2008.
Wow, I'm so terribly sorry to hear about your friend. Sometimes it's so very real and very hopeless in our feelings at times, we sometimes think that suicide is the answer. It's so sad when our loved ones cave in to this thought and carry it out. I'm so very sorry.
The best part of exposure to Ren's profound universal truth is hearing further tales of its personal meaning spelled out by individuals from across the spectrum of experience.

I always love your reactions and am so glad you got on to Ren . I found you from my first love PTX and I found Ren completely by accident looking for my morning search for new PTX reactions. over two months ago. I spend many hours a day rewatching my favorite reactions and new ones. After my 2 o'clock pee break last night I couldn't get back to sleep because I realized Ren is not a once-in-a- generation but a once-in-a-millenium artist along with Michelangelo, Mozart, Shakespeare, Bob Dylan, and I decided after arguing with myself, Andrew Lloyd Weber. And for Ren it is not only about his musical talents , it is about the thousands of comments that people leave for reactors that say how Ren has changed their lives in so many different ways., some saying he stopped them from suicide. That is genius in my mind. The fact the Ren has managed to create this magnificent catalog despite his unbelievable physical and mental hardships is hard to fathom.. The Greatest somehow thrive because of them or in spite of them. keep down the ren rabbit hole but I also haven't and don't you forgetPentatonix. I feel at times I am cheating on them, but think they would understand.

Yes Waow! I didn't like the nails either to begin with, but after I saw her live performance of Fingers... I love her, nails and everything, and we need her too. To be honest I am so, so curious what your reaction is going to be. But you have "How to be me", that you have to do first.
As someone who spent just a bit more than 8 years taking the max dose of sertraline every day, this one holds a little more *oomph* for me, the idea of erasing ourselves is entirely too true. After a while you begin to forget who you were/are, bits and pieces of your personality get sublimated into the black hole that is the chemical compound you're reliant on to get through your days. Coming out from that is... its hard, lets just leave it at that.

Love that your getting into Ren, I'd recommend listening to Humble by Ren. Its a track that tends to go unnoticed, but is honestly one of if not my favorite track by Ren. Also, im 90% sure Chinchilla is Ren's sister (I think, he said once in a youtube "tweet" (the messages creators can send that appear in your feed) that she was his musical sibling, so just going off that, im gonna assume so.)

Not blood related, she's his sister from another mister 😉 I believe they met when Ren heard her singing and was wowed by it. Pretty sure that's the gist of it (it was in one of the recent interviews that he's done with YT channel creators)

When my doughter was born 18years ago I had a surgery that went wrong. I had to stay at the hospital for 42 weeks. Had multiple more surgerys and fight for my life. Fight to survive. Fight to get back home to my kids. 42 weeks.... They gave me morfin(oxy) for many months. When I finally got home I was addicted.
I took all my medicin and went to the farmacy and gave it to them. I couldnt have it at home becouse then I would jeep taking them. Then I went thru withdral by myself at home. But I did it and havent touch it since then.
Its so easy to be addicted. Its crazy the doctors dont care more

Hey Chris, it's me again... I've just finished watching Hudsucker Proxy. Whole movie was umm... 'OK' I think? I was wondering what's so special about it, that you recommended it, and then... I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it but the first 90 minutes of this movie is great intro to that ending. I will remember that scene for the rest of my life but I hope I won't have to replay it in my head any time soon. Hudsucker Proxy is going straight to my favorite movie list for sure! Sadly, the frequent pauses are partially a tactic to help avoid copywrite strikes and threats of the channel being taken down, but I getcha.
