Greetings Alain and thank you for another great lesson. I was wondering what type of brush you used? I really like the results. Thank you 🎨
Beautiful effects with the underpainting and the texture on top. Can you tell us what Uart pastel paper you use? and your primary pastels? I have Rembrant, but wonder if I need some more...thanks for sharing.
Also I wondered if you need to use a fixative on your paintings?
Hi Carol. Alain uses UART 500 paper. Our paper does not require any fixatives at all!
you have some eye ... its like you invented pixels in brilliant colors I mean that in a very complimenting way.
I am new to pastel , do you blend your colors either with fingers at all 🤔
Hi Sima. A lot of artists blend pastel with either bare fingers or wear plastic gloves.
Thank you!
great thanks for sharing
how do you avoid breathing in the pastel dust?
By holding your breath.
I guess we all have masks to hand now... [sigh]
Keep the paper vertical, work in a ventilated space and don't stand too close to the drawing board.
it looks nice when it's tiny and far away. lol @24:37
