+Jessies Hand It is Issue 24, i just finished reading it for the first time :D (I just recently started reading the comics :s) Anyway, I think the outlook on the survivors and society, both before and after the zombie apocalypse, was meant from the beginning...maybe Kirkman thought about the "pun" later, but the meaning of it was definetely meant to surface, one way or another :D

AwesomeBrickSauce *Rick finishes speech epically 'We are the walking dead'* - Daryl says we aren't them, *Rick pulls out an AK47 and unloads an entire clip into Daryl's nipples*.
I loved the whole thing, Ricks speech, Daryl response, Aaron busting in through the barn doors with a lightning strike. Definitely was the greatest moment in the entire series, until last night. The choir singing the bob dylan song competes with this.
I hate the fact that fans defend Daryl in any occasion, for example when he punched Negan and Glenn got killed as a result. In an interview also Norman Reedus (the actor) said that he expected also his fandom to hate him for what he did, but instead they kept saying it wasn't his fault.
Daryl just is who he is, he makes mistakes like the rest of them, sometimes those mistakes get people killed; they've all done it at some point of another. Carole is one of my favorite characters and she has literally murdered innocent people in their beds, she's caused way more problems then Daryl ever did. What I don't understand is why people hate Daryl so much, he isn't any worse then the rest of them.
When the writing is good... it's GOOD. That's why we've kept coming back for 9 years. Epic television series. It's place secured in history. Thank you TWD. It's been one hell of a ride.
When I was a kid, I asked my grandpa if he ever killed Germans in the war... he wouldn’t awnser. Said that was grown up stuff. So I asked if the Germans ever tried to kill him. But he got real quiet.
This was the realization I have been waiting for them to make the entire show right here. Great speech from Rick this episode. Love the direction this show has been going with the past few seasons. Picked up so much from the boring season three and onward.
Season 6 is the best, zombies all around Alexandria, the begging of Negan and the other community, all the best characters of the serie together, the worst decision comes in season 7 with Glenn's death, then Carl, a lot of episodes about "Negan War" and when everything goes chill Rick's last episode
Awdball No I think that would've been too soon, this is better cause they're starting to realize that this is the walkers world and they're just inhabiting it now.. They are the ones that shouldn't be alive
ooooh that line gives me goosebumps... This is by far my favorite moment from season five, and possibly the entire series. I'll never think of the title the same way.
@@rsdillbot3646 since Rick wasn't there someone had to say the line for him. We are the walking dead was also said by Rick. In the comics. Later, at commonwealth, he redacts and says we are not the walking dead. It's a double reference.

This is my favorite scene, shows the point of the show and our history. We do what we got to do to survive and then we get to live, every generation will face something, some will face worse things then others but it’s all the same. Fight, try to survive and build another the world again.
This gave me chills!!! Miss the days when the violence was full on and the show was unpredictable and thrilling!!! U can't name many iconic moments like this from season 7 and 8 that are not watered down or poorly constructed (with the exception of glenn/abe's death)
The first half of the episode theres a shot when they're walking on that road barely breathing with the hoard of walkers in the background and at a glance you almost cant tell who are the survivors and who the walkers. Excellent episode
Some folks nowadays are saying that this show doesn't have anything to do with its namesake anymore because there's "not enough zombies." But do any of them remember this moment, I wonder? For me, the title has little to do with walkers, but the people still living in their fucked up world, and I think this scene illustrates it beautifully. When I watched this happen, the show changed quite dramatically for me personally.
Everytime i hear a thunderstorm i think of this scene its creepy and very badass and just when Rick says we are the walking dead the music gos lower and you can hear the rain beating down hard on the barn roof and everybody is sitting there trying to process what Rick just said i also think that when he said it i think part of him meant that since they are all infected one day they will all be the walking dead
Daryl didn't exactly "ruin" the speech by contradicting it. You can see he thought about it just long enough to realize he didn't agree with it, and that's a good thing. He's always been hopeful and Rick was losing that hope. Daryl opposing Rick here is him being a good bro.
This is when you know the author is a genius. This was planned all in advance. Same with GoT [books], all planned. The title was always about the living, or the "soon to be living"
The moment you realise the title doesn't refer to the zombies, but the survivors.
+fran jaff he definitely didn't make the comic with that idea because he didn't say that in the comic till issues like 30 or 40
