The rainshadow of the Cascades amazes me. To the west is green and wet. To the east is dry, desert, with huge ponderosa pines adapted to that climate.

@@pyronymph-868 It's such a stark contrast. The different landscapes make the PNW special. I prefer the lush forests and waterfalls but the desert with the hills and cliffs are also beautiful. Thanks for watching.

@@vs123 Indeed. It's such a different landscape compared to the Western side. I prefer the lush green forests and waterfalls but the desert is also beautiful in its own way. Thanks for watching.

I have never been to Oregon. Would you like to be my guide if I decide to visit? I love hiking and seeing waterfalls.

@@tietan867 I think I would make a great tour guide. Oregon is a great place to visit or take a backpacking trip. So much to see and do in the PNW. Thanks for watching.

Looks like an excellent hike in totally PNW weather!

@@Zoomdak Yes. Typical. I don't mind it but it's a pain when you're trying to film. Rainy season is on its way so I'm soaking up every bit of sun that I can. Thanks for watching.

Thanks. It's totally different. I prefer the lush forests with waterfalls but it is nice every once in a while to hike something different.

SE Oregon is not like Eastern or Western Oregon ;-)
We even catch the corner of the Great Basin!

@@russellzauner That's true. It is a part of the Great Basin which makes SE Oregon different. I prefer the lush forests and waterfalls but some people prefer desert mountain ranges with a lot of sagebrush.
