    For this reason, you are my absolute greatest role model.❤ Your naturalness and reality. I'm not a fan of people who spend hours in the gym, buy tons of supplements and eat tons of food to reach the same fitness level "as the guy next to you" or extreme influencers on social media.... I think it's good that you make your viewers aware that in the end only a balanced, stress-free life leads to the goal and therefore you shouldn't let anyone influence you or live the way it feels best for you mentally.... And this also includes not only eating healthy or foregoing evenings with friends just to stay on the "ball".🙏

    I think its important to say that its okay to track your macros for some time. I tend to kinda get lost in the process and dont really know If I ate enough or if Im actually hungry or if Im maybe overeating cause Im obsessing over gains so I track for maybe 2 weeks or so. And when I feel more organized again I start eating intuitively again cause I also tend to get obsessed with calories if I track for a long time, Its ok to do it my own way i guess

    Hey Soph! 💜
    I love your channel. I am new to weight lifting consistently and been trying desperately to lose weight. I have been in the gym consistently the last couple of months as well as running when I can for additional cardio. However, my biggest struggle has always been my diet. I can’t seem to dial it in, in order to achieve those results I am hoping for.
    I’m not sure if I should be primarily focused on weight loss before continuing to weight lift or what.. but I’ve been frustrated & discouraged with no major results yet. Appreciate your videos, so thank you. I won’t give up, and will be watching your videos in the meantime. Also, I wanted to ask you which of your online gym guides you would recommend for someone in my position? 😊

      Hi Keri! I hope this answers your question. Anyone who wants to lose weight but also wants to become stronger/build muscle this is my recommendation: 3-4 days strength training with lifting. 1-3 days of cardio: 30-45 minutes at medium intensity (not high because you want to be recovered for your lifting sessions). Diet: Controlling your total calorie intake is key to LOSING the body fat (THIS IS THE MOT IMPORTANT THING). Without eating the right amount of calories for you will stop you from losing weight, no matter how healthy you eat or how much you exercises. So make sure you're eating the right amount of calories. Goal bodyweight x 15 is a good estimate to start but you most likely will have to adjust up or down 250-500 calories depending on what results you're getting. 80% of your diet should be: Eat 0.8g-1g/lb of body weight in protein (add 2-3 protein shakes a day if this is hard for you). Eat 4-6 vegetable servings a day. Eat more starchy carbs such as rice, potatoes, oatmeal. 10-20% of your diet: eating out, highly processed high calories treats, etc. Why I don't think you should stop lifting even if weight loss is more of a priority for you: more muscle mass helps you keep weight off as you lose it. It gives your body shape, that "toned" look because as you lose body fat your muscle will be revealed. It keeps you focused on a positive goal when weight loss gets hard/plateaus (it will happen to EVERYONE, this is normal). Exercises is horrible to lose weight anyway whether it be cardio or weights because it doesn't burn that many calories (as much as we think) and we are 99% of the time just eating too much in our every day lives. AND we develop a life long positive relationship with exercises and training and don't use it just to burn calories off. I hope this was helpful :)

    That’s the truth. I’ve done it all & more. The reality of life’s demands doesn’t always allow for gym rat dedication w/counting macro annoyances. Plus all that dedicated work is nothing more than a launch point & landing pad for the field works of life lived. If you’re stuck suffering injury than you need to learn & reform. The gym is meant to increase life, not destroy it. I know you understand 👍🏻

    I admire you will all my heart and I will love to see a video about the mindset towards food and fitness❤️
    Been having mental issues w/my attitude towards food and how can I stop binging and overeating out of stress and emotions??
    My body always looks fit cause I have been working out for years but my mentality over food is awful…and I can’t seem to accept my body when it fluctuates in weight 😭
    Instead of calming and leaving it readjust on its own I decide that I need to change and start restricting and I get into this vicious never ending cycle 😭
    Please give some advice cause I am really going downhill

      I was dealing with the same situation. You should first understand that you're more than your body and looks. Its stupid to put your body witch supports your life trough such stress only because of beauty standards and society. You gonna feel much better when you understand that the most important things is your health, both mental and physical. After you calm yourself down and learn to fuck society opinion, you will start to see food as it is - source of energy, and you will start to develop inner voice witch helps you to choose what to eat and in what portions, you will start to make healthy choices naturally. Resulting you will have normal, stable weight and start developing trust and love towards yourself. its a journey but its so worth it! all the love. Happiness and enjoying life is the most important thing

    This is such a wholesome approach..I am so glad I watched this video. I do have a *probably ridiculous* question, but still...since you are not tracking, do you ever worry about eating "too much" and gaining too much too fast, even though your goal is to gain?

      This is a great question! I would say that is a healthy concern to have because we don't want to be gaining too fast as that usually means we're putting on more fat than muscle. Something that has helped me in times of bulking is to track my weight at least once a week and measurements once a month. This is a great way to make sure it's not moving too fast, in my opinion :)

    your right hwen you said don't make your weight los journey your main focus in your life cuz at the end if we lost weight we won't feel happy for a long time we will probably gain the weight again so working out should be an addition to our life making it it a work will make our life harder and burdensime, am saying this from an experience I have been on my journey for 6 years now I wouldn't say am skinny or so fat I am kinda medium but the approaches that I took were toxic I guess cuz I always start from zero again so I have decided to try to be healthy and trust the process for a long term and live my life to the fullest , ofcourse I will do some challenges some time but I will not make them my constant life.

    thanks for the great video. I like how you said your goal is to live well and longer. At the moment Im gaining both muscle and fat but the fat is getting me down and Im not sure whether to keep lifting heavy and just reduce food or keep food at the same but increase cardio as Im doing no cardio right now. It's so hard not to criticise ones self.
