This panel at MEGACON was such an awesome experience! Thank you so much to everyone who came out, it was great to meet many of you and talk about the show we all adore so much. I like the point at 22:30 that Kali wasn’t a bad character, it was the rest of her gang who were annoying for the viewers. Eleven’s interaction with Kali genuinely helped to build up Eleven’s story, giving her a taste of kinship with somebody, training with her powers from somebody with direct knowledge, etc. - only to realize just how different and incompatible they were. We saw the line that Eleven wouldn’t cross, of killing a normal person in cold blood (even if they deserved it) rather than self-defense. Kali is somebody who gave in to the Dark Side, so to speak, seeing nothing in the world but suffering, rage, and people preying on each other. Kali told Eleven that her friends couldn’t save her, to which Eleven replied, “But I can save them,” showing her desire to find some sense of hope in the world as she went back to Hawkins. If they do bring Kali back, it shouldn’t be to help Eleven - she’d honestly be on Vecna’s side.
@@FilmStocked No problem sir. Keep growing man. You’re right there at the brink of 100K! But you really deserve 1 million if I’m being honest😁 You are the best!
I actually really like season 2 of Stranger Things, i have a certain sort of bias towards it because i remember watching the first season as a little kid and it was just mind blowing with a new but familiar vibe to it. Then season 2 was announced and all the leaks and trailers were dropping, all the theories, it was just over all hyped. Then the shows drops and there’s new characters, new environments, new creatures, new original soundtracks, the stakes are even a little higher. Then there was it being themed around Halloween, so they put a scarier vibe to it. I really felt like it was a perfect follow up,(not including the lost sisters episode btw). It’s definitely not the best season, but it’s a personal favorite and i feel like it deserves a little more respect.
The play in London apparently Papa's father was on the USS Eldridge (Philadelphia Experiment ) and confesses on his death bed this to Papa...I've commented on this before the play and show have been done differently Henry claims to have vanished for 12hrs in a cave with a man who used to work for the government who stole some equipment and alludes to he went to the Upsidedown prior to Hawkins. And we only know Henrys story on the show from Vecnas point of view could he have lied to Nancy when he showed her how he came to be and what's going to happen in Hawkins? I can't wait! Love this so cool you two got to have this experience looks like a blast!
The only two disposable main characters that could possibly die and anyone watching, would still feel like it’s a successful series finale would be either Will or Jonathan. There is no way that either 11 or Mike can die because if Mike dies 11 could not handle it and she would not be able to be strong enough to fight Vecna whatsoever. If 11 died that would just be wayyyy too sad and ruin the whole series…just like Game of Thrones. No it’s either gonna be Jonathan or Will that dies.
I’m pretty sure it’s Jonathan who will die because of how much it will leave an impact for each character…. - Vecna’s gonna torture Will over Jonathan’s death. Jonathan said in season 2 that Will is his best friend. He was the first to accept Will’s sexuality and said he would always be there if he needs someone to talk to. So Vecna can torture Will be taking someone this important to him away. - Joyce spent the first two seasons trying to protect Will from the dangers of the Upside Down. Now she really will lose one of her sons from that other dimension. - It’s clear that Joyce and Hopper will get married. With that, Hopper’s gonna try to be a good father for Jonathan and Will. Therefore, he’ll feel like a failure when Jonathan dies, similar to Sara’s death. - Lonnie could return. The Duffer Brothers said that Steve was supposed to die in season 1 and Lonnie was supposed to be the one to help Jonathan and Nancy fight the Demogorgon. We never did see his reaction finding out that Will’s alive. So maybe they might use his redemption arc for this season in which he finds out what happened to Jonathan. - Nancy will find out that Jonathan was planning to go to the same college as Argyle instead of the same one with her, thus leading into an argument. After Jonathan’s death, Nancy would think how their argument was stupid and should have accepted the way things were in which they could stay friends. With this, Nancy ends up with Steve and with that, he will achieve his fantasy in which they have about six kids and drive across country in an RV to places like Yellowstone. So their oldest son can be named after Jonathan. I really think they’ll mainly have Nancy end up with Steve because of one reason. With Jim and Joyce getting married, El will become the step sister of Will and Jonathan since Hopper’s her father legally thanks to Owens getting those papers done. With that, if Nancy and Jonathan were to get married, that would make El and Mike in basically siblings. It’d be awkward since they’re in love. So I think they’ll have Nancy end up with Steve to avoid this thing with El and Mike.
4:17 I may note that the time travel story that makes sense is the time travel story that does not exist, except for The Time Machine by H.G. Wells because no one actually changed the past in that book. 18:33 I love Eddie more than anybody because he's the one who introduced me to Metallica. 23:43 Hot take: Steve Harrington dying isn't an inherently bad idea, and he's the most likely character to die. Don't get me wrong he is my favorite character on this show one of my favorite characters of all time however, if anyone dies it would make the most sense it's him because he is consistently the bravest character on this show, and the one that is always the most at risk because he is so brave, and him dying to save everyone, would be a perfect conclusion to his arc, as the person who started out as a jerk went on to sacrifice himself to save everyone, and the effect/impact it would have on Dustin could not be put into words.
It’s like Harry Potter where harry had to die to destroy Voldemort same thing with stranger things is will having to be destroyed. But I feel they need to bring alll the ones who’s had powers to destroy them.
On the topic of time travel, I don't think it will exist in the way we all think of time travel. They can't pinpoint a specific moment in time and travel there. The Upside Down seems frozen in the past because it is a nearly exact replica of Hawkins on Nov 6, 1983 when the gate first opened. Beyond that, the Upside Down hasn't aged because it doesn't exist within a physical construct of time. It's just a snapshot, which is why Nancy, Steve, Eddie, and Robin were able to communicate with Dustin, Lucas, and Erica in real-time. It also may suggest an important clue as to Vecna's fascination with that grandfather clock.
This is my opinion: ep 1 : The crawl: So my opinion is the crawl as a title might mean that the demogorgans crawl through the portal into the right-side up and the military had to fight them. As vecna apears with a new form (a damaged form).
Let’s also not forget about Sullivan I’m praying hopper may have to have some role to save his daughter and Sullivan knows everything that papa did because he has all the logs that were used in the Nina project.
I get the hate for The Lost Sister. I felt betrayed the first time watching it, because like everyone else all I wanted was to go back to Hawkins to see what happened after the high stake cliffhanger that is the end of the Spy (episode 6). Even worse, the first time watching the show, i misread the number of episodes of season 2. Instead of remembering that it had one more episode than season one I remembered that it had one less, making the lost sister the last episode of the season. Plus, I knew that I’d have to wait for a long time before season three aired, so you can imagine the kind of torture it was… I was so happy when I found out that there were two more episodes ! Anyway, I’m currently rewatching the show (it’s like the sixth or seventh time ?), and I surprisingly enjoyed it a lot ! It was like, I knew that I was getting a little side quest, a little pause in this stressful moment of the series… and it wasn’t bad, to the contrary it felt like an opportunity to breathe a little, and ponder some questions that were left hanging until that point and that were essential to the story. And most of all, it’s really important for the construction of eleven. Up until that point, all she had done was undergo everything that happened to her. She never chose to live with hopper and she suffered from it. But at the end of the episode she finds out that her place is in Hawkins, not anywhere else, and it’s her choice to go and save her friends. I mean I don’t know, I found the end of the episode very emotional and I can’t imagine the season without it. Now will (or should) Kali return in season five ? Absolutely not. Kali made a different choice than eleven, a more selfish one. El understood that she was the only one who can save her friends, and more generally, Hawkins. She renounced to having her sister and to a life far from the dangers of Hawkins. Bringing back Kali would only undermine that choice, which is the whole point of the episode.
Will does not have powers. It’s just that when you’ve been abducted, possessed, and terrorized by the same quasi-demonic psychic as much as Will has, you can immediately feel its presence in the surrounding mental/emotional environment. There’s something wrong that isn’t supposed to be there, almost like a rotten smell, and Will can pick it up and knows what it is just by hard experience.
With that last theory, Vecna was controlling the mind flayer from what we found out from season 4. I believe he may have been controlling the demogorgon which is why it could open the door. It's stretched but it would be insane if that was true
Nah I think you're on to something, because in 1 it's apparently vecna taking will but its also apparently the demogorgon. I think vecna uses the hive mind to tell them what to do. That's why the demogorgon can open the door to get to will in 1 cos its vecna
Another theory: the one scene we watch of hopper with his huge beard the like 3 seconds we seen him what if in that time line they lost everyone died vecna won but hopper is the last man standing and finds a way to use the upside down to go back to 1983 to stop eleven from ever making contact with vecna aka number one it would be a psych out watching everybody die on screen and it makes more sense seeings as Nancy was shown her family, holly her mom and even Mike with what we assume is dead in the future after the gate open so all this could be very possible very hard to pull off but if executed properly could be amazing and the tear jerker at the end is hopper sacrifices himself for everyone else to live because as of right now hopper being separated from everyone just doesn’t make sense
what about another iconic creature of D&d... the Tarrasque.? Nancy said that she saw a enormous monster... maybe Vecna (hurt at he end of the 4 season) can make a powerUp absorbing the Mindflyer and creating a new Enemy?
What if vecna uses the ones he’s taken and the ones who died, Billy, bob, barb, Eddie kinda similar to the flayed but more sentient maybe with there memories and use them to make certain character later feel terrible making them vulnerable
No mention of Argyle? How fast we forget! He was such a funny guy, bouncing off Jonathan superbly and his falling for Eden, (an Ally Sheedy clone) was very 80's. You want an Eddie cameo? Make mine Argyle.
Some nice theories.. I definitely agree on something to do with Time Travel or reversing of time or something, and Will possibly having some kind of power, he was such a big focus early on, sucks he had nothing to do last season really along with Mike and the whole California gang really ha that shootout scene was great though. I'm glad it's gonna have some of the tone and vibes from seasons 1 and 2,my favorite seasons, they did that Stephen King and Steven Spielberg/Amblin Entertainment inspiration the best and the kids were in middle school and around like 12 and 13 or 13 going on 14 and they had that E.T., the Goonies, Super 8, the Monster Squad, Stand By Me and losers club from IT vibe the best. I'm with Cam I never understood the hate for stranger things 2, it had the best posters, trailers and score in my opinion, 4 is a close second for me on those. But 2 is a personal favorite and loved the tone and atmosphere and Halloween setting , Noah Schnapp had his best performance as Will that season too and so did Finn as Mike I think. anyways can't wait until season 5 and see what movies and stuff they reference this time around ha but I agree with some of these theories. We shall see:)
I dont think will has power, like you said it would cheapen it. However. I think will has true sight and only true sight. For example I think the reason the upside down is stuck on wills missing date is because he mapped Hawkins in his mind to survive for Castle byers. Therefore stopped time in the upside down as it was never anything when henry entered. I think vecna used him as a map he needed thus taking him in 1 because they're similar. He was watching will probably forever. That's why I think vecna will go after will because who knows what he can do next
Chris is friends with Sean. Awesome. My prediction is that they'll have more s words, more high school curse words, and blasphemous lines. I noticed they used that in the season 4 finale.
I just woke up thinking what if Vecna remembers it was Steve who threw the first Molotov and wants to find the three kids first before eleven and what if he kills Robin and even Nancy or maybe Steve survives and neither Steve or Jonathan won’t even get to have Nancy.
I agree that season 2 not the worst. Yes, The Lost Sister is the worst episode, but this isn’t the worst season. It has a lot of great moments for the show.
it was not the worst episode at all?? it showed El’s character development, it showed her past and and what her mum went through and how she can become stronger without brenner
@@sapphicfrancesca Let me rephrase what I said. It's just the least episode for me. I shouldn't have used the word "worst". I don't think it's a terrible episode. I agree that the episode does indeed have important elements that should not be ignored. With that, I don't think people should ever skip it when doing their Stranger Things marathons. Kali teaching El about using her powers (as recreation of when Yoda tried to get Luke to get the ship out of the water) was really cool. And the episode was when we realized that Brenner is alive. Seeing Kali use her powers to make them invisible and create a giant wall was also really cool. With that, I really do want her and her gang to return for season 5 to help take down Vecna. I think I already know what exactly they'll be doing in the season if you want me to give you a summary.
As far as Eleven dying, I don't see it actually happening. Yeah, there may be an outcome that is tragic for her, but why have a heartbreaking monologue from Hopper about his daughter dying and being the curse only to kill off someone who helped rescue him from self-destruction? I don't see the Duffer Bros being that cruel.
And els mom has powers, I think she is ones sister. I think it was like max but she recovered. She thought her brother was dead and the lab reached out to her offering to help.
Here me out, Eddie was killed by vampire bats witch means he CAN come back as a vampire OR if he comes back he might work for Vecna witch means that Eddie and Dustin might have to duel for the future of Hawkins
if they do time travel i think it should be 11 or be another number and they should bring back 8. will NEEDS to come out as gay! and he would be scared if he got powers. i think mike should die i love him as a character but like if he dies then el gets mad and kills vecna. im team mother steve and team eddie. if joathan dies and steve decides to make his move on nancy he is just back to being a jerk and i will laugh if jonatan dies cuz joyce just forgot about him for 4 seasons and was so focused on will. i think vecna could be el's dad but not the other kids cuz he wanted el to join him and he was always saying she was special and he said she was a lot like one and vecna is one so maybe he could be el"s dad.
When you guys say they can’t kill this person or that person at the end of the day it’s the last season and they can do what they want. I would personally like to see them commit to actually killing off main character(s)…thus far the Duffers haven’t had the balls to do it. They pretend kill people and bring them from the dead.
This. I think if they split it on volumes which i think they will. One of the main group has to die at the end of vol 1. And I mean the core 4 to keep the audience in and show threat
I'm really upset about this byler thing. They built up Mike and el for so many years. Why so long if Mike is secretly gay? When you really pay attention it's all points to that and I think it's stupid.
in what world have they been “building it up” most of s3 was el and mike broken up with el saying i love u back to mike having his eyes fully open and not kissing her back then s4 never saying i love you and the only time is when will makes him say it like it’s the last resort so she makes it out alive and then at the end she ignores him

No mention of Argyle? How fast we forget! He was such a funny guy, bouncing off Jonathan superbly and his falling for Eden, (an Ally Sheedy clone) was very 80's.
You want an Eddie cameo?
Make mine Argyle.
I think kali could help max see as thats her power
We shall see:)
sean sounds like shaggy
Voice was shot by the final day
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout haha you're all good didnt bug me at all
I feel like 8 comes back she at least gotta help her 11 with vecna and all the monsters 21:01
If 11 dies then Hopper looses another daughter so I don't think she dies.
I just woke up thinking what if Vecna remembers it was Steve who threw the first Molotov and wants to find the three kids first before eleven and what if he kills Robin and even Nancy or maybe Steve survives and neither Steve or Jonathan won’t even get to have Nancy.
A fan event with 3 awesome people, isn’t that great huh?😊
GUYS EDDIE NOT COMIN BACK BC THEY SAID CASS killed Verna in the dnd scene
I don’t want my fictional baby mama’s Nancy and Robin dying on me!!🥺
I think mrs Kelly is Kali she wears a clock pennent. I think she is keeping an eye on Eleven.
Max will have her eyes back like kanen from Rebels?
Here me out, Eddie was killed by vampire bats witch means he CAN come back as a vampire OR if he comes back he might work for Vecna witch means that Eddie and Dustin might have to duel for the future of Hawkins
What if they bring back 8 to help 11 she did teach her to use her full potential
Kongradulations 🇮🇱Mr J
I think you could have 008 come back having vecna kill her and consume her power
if they do time travel i think it should be 11 or be another number and they should bring back 8. will NEEDS to come out as gay! and he would be scared if he got powers. i think mike should die i love him as a character but like if he dies then el gets mad and kills vecna. im team mother steve and team eddie. if joathan dies and steve decides to make his move on nancy he is just back to being a jerk and i will laugh if jonatan dies cuz joyce just forgot about him for 4 seasons and was so focused on will. i think vecna could be el's dad but not the other kids cuz he wanted el to join him and he was always saying she was special and he said she was a lot like one and vecna is one so maybe he could be el"s dad.
Damn, how nervous were you. and how many people showed up
All the seats were filled and there was a row of people standing
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout Awesome
When you guys say they can’t kill this person or that person at the end of the day it’s the last season and they can do what they want. I would personally like to see them commit to actually killing off main character(s)…thus far the Duffers haven’t had the balls to do it. They pretend kill people and bring them from the dead.
This. I think if they split it on volumes which i think they will. One of the main group has to die at the end of vol 1. And I mean the core 4 to keep the audience in and show threat
Wash I was there

I'm really upset about this byler thing. They built up Mike and el for so many years. Why so long if Mike is secretly gay? When you really pay attention it's all points to that and I think it's stupid.
in what world have they been “building it up” most of s3 was el and mike broken up with el saying i love u back to mike having his eyes fully open and not kissing her back then s4 never saying i love you and the only time is when will makes him say it like it’s the last resort so she makes it out alive and then at the end she ignores him
Nooooooooo not Elllllll anyone but her
