Car physics like this can be both good and bad. most games don't want realistic physics else you would always be destroying your car. But it is nice to show off such a nice damage engine in some games. depends though.

This game is actually highly realistic with its turning, because if you're going 60-70 mph (or kmh if you prefer) and you just SLAM the wheel to the right, then try to turn left a tad, you'll go spinning out.
I was one of the original beta testers for this (First 500 to play), it has changed a lot since this version of the game, and it is now available on steam to download. It is a paid game, but it comes with all the new updates and, it is going to triple in price when the final release comes out. Also a new Big Rig and Sports sedan are coming out soon.
Ive been on this game since September 2013 and even in that space of time, this game has changed a lot. The developers must be working their arses of to make the game that quickly, and for that, I shall play the game until it is completed, and more.

I played Carmageddon TDR 2000 again recently, which is from 2002, and the damage is actually really dynamic. The car can split down middle and bend and deform similar to this game. Not as good obviously, but pretty amazing for the time

To be honest, BeamNG is crappy compared to Rigs of Rods. Not where performance or looks are concerned (I mean, RoR renders on the CPU using OGRE), but more where function and fun to be had are concerned. RoR has the mostest wonkiest controls, and it allows you to drag your vehicle with the mouse. Nothing better than dragging your vehicle around with the mouse, just to launch it into the nearest cliff face, only to have it get stuck there, drag it off, and enjoy driving a car that has wheels both on the top and on the bottom.

Almost 4 years later: The Gavril D-Series, the truck, is one of my current favorite cars in video games. It is so customize-able and easily tune-able that you can make it from a long haul heavy truck, to a rally truck, and then back to a high-speed drift truck. And now, we have 21 cars, easier mod support, a far better driving model then this version, an actual campaign of sorts, far, far, FAR nicer GUI and options. It's just a much better game then what we have here, and a lot more fun.
